Heya guys.

I'm new here and to the Android scene and am considering of purchasing an Android phone in the near future and thought this site would be a nice place to start.

A little about me:
My name is Yui and I am 14. I reside in the UK. I'm due for a new phone on my o2 contract. The Nexus one attracts my most attention but still not out yet in the UK.

At the moment I have seen people with awesome home screens on their Nexus One's and some people said about the SDK and rooting. Could someone just give me a brief insight on what rooting is and where I can find tutorials and resources for the SDK.
