Hooked-Up SecMms.apk Mod is a Modification of the stock messaging app (SecMms.apk), from our own SGS3-R530M TouchWiz MB2 Rom.
It should work for all versions of MB2 including Metropolis Rom by Shabbypenguin, Stock/Root/ODEX+DeOdex MB2 and [ROM]Number_Two MB2 by Ldrifta.

It may work on many JB 4.1.2 Touchwiz based ROMs that run on our phone, even odex.

So...what does it do?

-Disables long SMS into MMS conversion!!
-Enables Group Messaging, Save/Restore Messages, and Scheduled Messaging Features!!
-Increases the text recipient limit to 1000 (send your text to more than 1000 contacts at once, normally set to 10)!!
-Displays exact SENT time of received text messages (normally shows the time your phone RECIEVED the text)!!
-Enables Screen on/off, Vibration, and MMS Signature toggle Features in MMS settings!!

For best results, flash the mod after a factory reset and fresh rom install.

Flashing this will untheme Secmms.apk
Do not flash a theme that includes a Secmms.apk as it will overwrite the mod.
Remove the Secmms.apk from the theme before flashing.
This Mod is for Touchwiz MB2 based Roms.

Installation Instructions:

Please backup your phone before flashing this!

-Copy Mod [Zip file] to sd card

-Boot to recovery

-Make Backup!!

-Flash Mod [wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache]

-Reboot & Enjoy

Pardon my ignorance on this one so I like to be able to send long text that convert to mms with this mod it will split it? Or being that we are able to send longer character the conversion to mms might not be needed? Thanks arocker :thumbup::thumbup:

you almost got me there, i had teh page loaded up and was trying to login and everything

With this mod, MMS (Data, i.e.- 1x, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, etc.) isn't required.
Type in a long text, and it will send as several small SMS's, instead of one large MMS.
Cool, huh?

U r right that it disables convert to mms, as to whether it sends large texts or splits them...truth is idk. Pappy tested it for me so I'd have to deffer to his answer.

Yes, it does that extremely well.
I tested it several times, on two different ROMs. (Fresh installs on both BTW)

I think the mms conversion becomes an issue when long texting someone whos phone doesn't support mms. Yes? Idk

Just flashed the message app did not want to open there's no other message app on the app drawer I reflash and still nothing maybe not compatible with rom #2
