Oh - I thought everyone was saying that it DIDN'T have an 802.11n radio. I am also confused as to why they keep spec'ing it out with a 1Ghz processor. I thought I had read everywhere that it was underclocked by almost 40% -

If you have a V6 300HP motor in your car but are only running on 3 cylinders because they handicapped it at the factory then it really isn't fair to advertise the car as having 300HP...

Isn't this the same thing?

The first test device was underclocked according to the spec sheet that accompanied the device. However, the later test devices (a couple of which two independent contributors here got a hold of) were not underclocked. Stericson did a device dump of a closer-to-launch test device which showed that the Incredible's processor ran at .998GHz, and then toggled down to @ .245GHz at idle. If you have any questions about specs, check out the "evergreen" thread that Anonimac keeps updated. Everything in there has been thoroughly vetted to give you the closest accuracy - especially with the discrepancies in the published training materials that have leaked recently.

Nice comparison chart! What about overall size and weight, in particular, Nexus 1 vs Incredible?

Personally wish Verizon would have offered the Nexus 1 rather than the Incredible. I like the form factor, and a little larger battery. Looks like we won't be getting it though. Too bad...I might have upgraded...but not for the Incredible.

Don't care about more resolution of the cam on the Incredible. More pixels usually means smaller pixels, which means less sensitivity. (Maybe that's why they needed 2 LEDs for the flash!) Even 5 Mp is way more than necessary in a cell phone, IMO.

First of all, the N1 is still coming to verizon. It even says it on google's site.

Secondly, smaller pixels? You mean a larger picture. Pixel size has to do with a screen.

I saw that, too, but got the impression somewhere else they were just going to now offer the Incredible now.

Regarding pixels, I was referring to the image sensors...not those of the screen.

More than likely they just pulled that spec from the same documents that were wrong before.

Digital zoom can be added to any device, but all you are doing is blowing the image from 1X up (no true magnification). You can do the same thing with picture edit software and probably interpolate the image better in the process. Digital zoom is a weak option to optical zoom, but optical zoom requires a more complex camera system and bigger lens module.

Not sure if any phone has optical zoom.

Yup, digital zoom is worthless. All it does is give you less picture thats blurred. Just take the pic, then crop with gimp.
