I don't have a suggested card reader but have you ever used Walgreens App to send Prints over? It works amazingly well. Of course you don't get to use the big screen at Walgreens.

I believe my wife has a time or two, but she generally doesn't trust such, but perhaps this would be the thing to get her to start trusting technology!! Thanks!

I had a little bit of a surprise while un-boxing my T-MOBILE branded ONE earlier today.

As I purchased it via BEST BUY,I wasn't expecting the free car dock that was available to those who pre-ordered direct from T-MOBILE.No surprise there, but, there are no earbuds included w/the purchase either.I looked on the box for content listing & sure enough,it's not listed.

Items included w/T-MOBILE HTC ONE:

PHONE
WALL PLUG & USB CABLE
SIM CARD & REMOVAL TOOL
HTC STICKERS (2)
T-MOBILE MANUAL & QUICK START GUIDE

Wasn't terribly disappointed,as I don't use wired earbuds,etc...
Just wanted to FYI those who are awaiting shipment of the T-MOBILE version, however,YMMV if you're getting it direct from T-MOBILE instead of through BEST BUY,as I did.

Hmm, I would prefer the car dock over the ear buds myself so, that's pretty cool, too bad I'm with Sprint lol.

I got neither, that's what I was bracing everyone for, especially since all of the un-boxing videos I've seen floating around had earbuds included.

Definitely not a biggie,as the star of the show shines well enough & most earbuds thrown in w/phones are of dollar-store quality anyway.

I know the unbranded BEATS buds that shipped w/others orders are of better quality, but,it's still not a deal breaker by any stretch.

Whoops, I misread your original post.

That offer may have been for pre-orders only &/or while supplies last.

My guess is they're gone,as this phone is looking to be quite popular.

yeah, i believe it was for pre-orders only. oh well...im switch to t-mo from vzw so i get $50 for each line, and got the HTC buy back program for my blackberry storm (100) :D. so im not sweating it. i'll just pressure the sales rep tomorrow to give me one. LOL

Hi everyone, expecting my HTC one this week I use my current galaxy all the time as a sat nav in the van. I really like the look of the car dock and the feature to turn on car mode when the phone is connected. However as I'm in the building trade I need to use a case and this means taking it off every time I get in the van. I read you can get a cable which activates the car mode when it's plugged in ? Therefore I could use my old holder and keep the case on ? Anyone know about this ? Also when it switches on car mode does it turn on Bluetooth as I use a parrot hands free ? Would this be the best solution .
Thanks

not sure which phone u had/have, but for those who have the car dock for EL TEvo , unscrewing 3 screws from the back will allow u to remove the charging piece that sticks up from the cradle, allowing the ONE to fit with or without a case. I have a TPU type case which is not super thick, and it fits perfectly...obviously u have to plug the charger in to the phone and manually activate bt, but if the official car dock isn't an option for you yet and you have the evo, this works GREAT...just sharing

Ordered this from fleabay.

Has a little android bot that opens up to reveal the USB port. You slide your card in and plug it to the OTG adapter. Boom external storage.

MicroSD Adapter Memory Card Reader OTG Adaptor Cable for HTC One M7 | eBay

I'm on the list for the kickstarter OTG adapter but I had ordered this just to test.

Thanks... Please let us know how it works, that would be great for my wife and hard to lose. I can hear her now asking about "that android thingy!" :p

Does this still apply if I bought it off Amazon?

Got my poetic atmosphere's in the mail today, and it had a hard copied letter saying they will send another one automatically when they're available. Though the case is stiffer than I usually care for (I prefer true TPU), how can you complain about that kind of customer service! :)

Well I ordered the Trident Aegis case on Thursday, to my surprise, it came in the mail today. On my Evo 4G I had a casemate dual layer case, I was happy with the protection that case offered, but the plastic part became brittle and started breaking off, so I decided not to go with casemate this time around. Origionally for the HTC one I was planning on getting the poetic atmosphere case, but I had trepidations about the protection that case offered, and since they are not going to be available till late may, I decided to pass on it and order something that gave me more comfort. I was planning to try the Incepio HT-350 DualPro case, then I happened across the Trident Aegis case, I didn't really care for the look of it, but because it has port covers for both the charge port and the headphone jack, and it conforms to military drop and vibration test standards, it was a no brainer for me. As I stated before, it came in the mail today, I don't have my One yet, but it should be here Monday. As such, I can only comment on what I have observed. I am truly impressed by this case, as far as the styling goes, the pictures and videos I have seen do not do it justice, remember, I told you I didn't like the styling on the case from what I had seen online, in real life this thing is sexy. For protection it seems reasonable, it's a bit bulkier than single layer cases, but that's a given, dual layers should absorb impact better and offer more protection, in that aspect it seems on par with the casemate I had on my Evo 4G. BTW, as far as bulk goes, the evo 4g without any case on it was .51" thick, with the Trident case on it, this phone should be .59" thick, so for those worried about bulk, don't, it's probably going to be thinner than your last phone with a case on it was. Build quality is what really impressed me, the case fits together well (keep in mind, I have not put it on the phone yet) the kicker is that the rubber has grooves in it where it mates with the plastic, and the plastic part has ridges that fit in the grooves, this means that the case should stay together better should it suffer an impact. Also, in the center of the back there is a small slot in the plastic, and a raised nub on the rubber that mates with that slot, this means that when you are installing the case, and if you tend to fidget with it while it's on the phone, it is less likely to bunch up on the back. It has a large square cut out for the camera, why it's like this I don't know, I'm not particularly fond of that, but that may change once I get an actually phone in the case. It also have cut outs for the microphones and the powerbutton/IR transmitter, this particular cutout is beveled in such a way that I don't think it will interfere with the usage of the power button in any way. Oh, and did I mention the case came with a screen protector? I can't wait to put this case on my phone, when I do I will write an update.

Just using a body skin from XTREME GUARD:

HTC ONE M7 Screen Protector

Was using this:

Metal-Slim Ultra-thin Transparent Case For HTC ONE M7

STEER CLEAR (pun intended) of this.I ordered this as it was among the 1st cases available, anticipating the initial launch date of the ONE.Looks nice, but, feel in-hand is awful & the top edge interferes w/power button ease-of-use.The side edges are barely raised enough to afford any face-down protection.

IMHO,this phone looks & feels too nice to cover it w/something other than a transparent skin, except in those instances where added protection is warranted.

For those occasions,I'll be ordering something along these lines:

FlexiShield Case for HTC One - Black :: MobileFun.com

FlexiShield Case for HTC One - White :: MobileFun.com

FlexiShield Case for HTC One - Red :: MobileFun.com

FlexiShield Case for HTC One - Purple :: MobileFun.com

I understand your concerns kolio, but the transparent case works just fine for me. its low profile and keeps out of my way. i don't have any issues with the power button, and in fact, i use the raised ridge on the case to align my finger with the power button. :p

Fair enough. :D Calling it awful was more of an opinion of the material used & not actually of the construction quality, as the fit is snug & appearance is optically clear, nice appearance as I previously mentioned.
It does have a low profile, not adding too much bulk/width, etc... just not a fan of the hard case variety (mistakenly thought it was of TPU construction ).
I'll also mention that it came w/a screen protector, something that I wasn't expecting. They earn points for that!

Ordered a cheap temporary case to use immediately on receipt of the One:

Frosted Clear Hard TPU Gel Skin Case Cover for HTC One 2013 M7 Phone Accessory | eBay

Frosted (back side) Clear (sides and front) $6. incl. shipping!
Shockingly, it will be my permanent case. Soft, flexible, full coverage. It covers the power button, but the infrared shines through just fine. I like it a lot.
I put my business card facing out on the back side so if I loose it someone can find me easily. (wishful thinking anyway).
The phone looks sharp in it. I also put a screen protector on it, for full coverage.

I ordered the Poetic Atmosphere case (the grey sided one with the clear back) and it looks great on the phone. Doesn't hide the sleek looks of the handset too much and fits nice and slug. Was only a tenner from Amazon Prime too.

Shall post a pic tomorrow if anyones interested.

That's exactly what I have now (My wife has the purple one). Though it's more a hard case than I thought it would be (I prefer TPU), it still is quite nice. And I received a hard letter AND email stating when the new design (that doesn't block the IR blaster) is available, they'll send it right out.

I need a car dock and loved the one I had for my EVO LTE. It put it into dock mode and stuck to my windshield. Sprint said all they have now is a universal one but it suctions to the windshield so I may go look at it. I can always open the car dock app once it's docked. But I have the Otterbox Commuter and last year the regular Sprint Dock for my phone I had to cut a bit of the rubber off where the charging port was and then it fit fine.

Any of you cats looking to get a car cradle OTHER than the HTC official one?

Already HAVE a car cradle you care to share with the class? ;)
