Root [T-Mobile] Anyone Know Where To Find HTC One M7 RUU for TMob?

Sure. If this rom doesn't flash/stick I will get that to you. As I'm sure you understand, I don't want to do anything to interfere with adb while i've got it working ha ha

absolutely!

let me know how it goes. im dumping my system and boot images,i think we can put together into a PN07IMG type file and flash from fastboot if that doesnt work. system is huge,so it will take a bit to dump.

this scenario really bothers me. i thot it was an issue with twrp, but it appears none of them have it working, unless its just an issue with recovery being booted, rather than installed... hmmm

what recovery are you in now? installed twrp,or booted cw?

i would be ok in your situation, since im s off... but you s on guys with no ruus recovery can obviously be pretty tricky.

thanks htc,for not leaking ruus like you used to

edit also,great choice for a rom :)

I'm in twrp. When i run the cmd to flash the rom it goes through the long list of commands that can be used and comes back with the adb location, ready to input the destination again, so it's not working but it doesn't say error, just runs through all the text that tell what commands can be used. The address im trying is

adb push AR.zip/sdcard/

OK, this is interesting. I typed it as you said and it gave me the gobbledeegoop again but then when i did the address and made it zip.zip the cursor is now blinking on its own under that command, like it could be doing something. I've learned in recent days it can be zip or zip.zip.

What does the a single blinking cursor indicate?

hmm... you got me there,lol... the blinking cursor does indicate its doing something, but im afraid to guess what

system image is 1946156032 bytes, and took 692 seconds to transfer, lol

Ok, we're getting somewhere. The rom went to the sd card and I flashed it....and it got to 30% and rebooted to twrp, exactly the same as trickdroid. That to me can only mean one thing - aroma installer is incompatible/unstable with the m7. So what we need to do is flash a non aroma m7 rom. Do you know any?

Guys,
Aroma is unstable on the M7...

I have gotten it to work by using the volume rocker to prevent the screen from blanking.
If the screen blanks it will likely fail.

Try a rom without Aroma.. your going to have problems.
That's documented in several places on XDA yet rom devs keep using it.

I will bud out now :D

Just to clarify, are you saying if I do something to the volume rocker during install it might stick?

EDIT: Does nothing.

One of the issues with Aroma is that if it blanks the screen it will hang more often than not.
If it hangs you have to reboot because it's just stuck there and you end up partially flashed.
Not a good situation.
Aroma got me in a non-bootable state more than a few times.

You read my mind. Reflashed CWM, CWM doesnt see the file. Trying now to get into adb in cwm so I can flash the zip via cwm.

thats odd.. wonder why cw doesnt see it??

to make things more confusing,i flashed cw touch permantly, and now ive got adb working. so its either a strange coincidence its now happy,or maybe some issue with being fastboot booted

the good news,is that if you cant get that to work,i have successfully flashed the images i dumped back to my phone. it wiped my data for some reason, but the phone did boot. all i need is the fastboot getvar all to modify the android info text document, and i can upload it for you. :)

can't get in adb again after being in adb 20 times today already.

Whether I get this phone working again or not I will never ever flash a rom again. I always wondered why, if developers are so clever, why have none of them get any money?

Lots of software devs get paid.... I get paid...
Some of these guys are also doing it just for the fun of it.

I know your frustrated but ease up on developers.
Blame the carriers, they are the ones with the asinine device lockdowns.

I know. Just looking for a target, apologies, I edited what I said and of course I realize the carriers should be the focus of my frustration. Again, apologies.
