I want Incredible, wife wants Droid....will this offer likely ever exist?

I am buying the Incredible without a doubt. The wife is also due for a NE2 and is stuck on the Droid due to the keyboard. Is it likely that VZ would in the near future offer a deal like buy an Incredible and get a Moto Droid for free. I do not know how long I want to wait for an Incredible and her phone is just about to crap out on her. If the deal does not come to life do I have any way to bargain with VZ on this? Thanks for any suggestions.

Yes, their on line ad does say "Buy one Get One 3G Smartphones" but it looks like this is only on select phones most of them being blackberries. The headlines seem to be misleading. When I went to the Droid online it said buy a droid and get up to 3 select phones for free. This is disapointing. Any likliehood that this will change when the Incredible comes out tomorrow?

Get your incredible from VZW and go to wirefly.com and get your wifes moto droid for 49.99 w/ 2 yr contract.

You can always just call vzw and threaten to close her line and start over if they don't match the 19.99 price.

Its already been posted that you can buy the droid for $19-$49...how much more of a deal do you need???

I looked into this a few weeks ago. It appeared as though these deals were only valid on new contracts. The droid for my wife will come in the form of a NE2 as she is renewing her contract. So are you saying that I can get the droid for $20 on a contract renewal?

I was hoping to do this as well -- incredible for me and Moto Droid for my wife. Wirefly pricing only applies if you are including the primary line in the contract extension/upgrade. They want $149 for the Moto Droid if you are only upgrading secondary lines. Any other options elsewhere or ways around this?

I was at my local Verizon store on the 19th and I was told you can do buy one Droid get one free but that the Incredible wan't compatible with that offer, the guy seemed very knowledgeable and said he was even planning on getting the Incredible soon. Hope that helps!

@GermWise, calling VZW and threatening them if they don't match the price from Wirefly is useless. Especially on a Moto Droid that VZW is selling so well right now. Customer Service Reps don't have the ability to mark down a phone from $199.99 to $19.99. But hey, when i worked there i took calls from people like you thinking threatening to leave would make us mark the phone down and ended up hanging up the phone was they were told multiple times the price of the phone can't be reduced. As a rep we can't even match the online instant discount.

So my next thought was could I just cancel the Incredible I pre-ordered, do the current BOGO on the Moto Droid & then return the Moto attached to the primary line to then get an Incredible. Would that work? Would they reset my contract status and restore my NE2 credit upon returning the Moto?
