So I got my moment a couple of months ago. I've been watching the boards about the leaked 2.1 version with the latest updates and rooting. I had to work up the courage and read the directions over and over before I tried it. It took me a long time but it was more a matter of getting all the right files on my computer and opened up in the right way. So I have 2.1 with the latest update and root (whatever that means, lol).
I have helix launcher which is sweet. I played with live wall papers for a while but it seemed to be kind of a resource hog and the themes are a bit limited for me as I like to customize my own. And I have the latest gallery. It's amazing the difference between 1.6 and 2.1. Functionality seems much stronger and the app market just opened up.
I used picme for the screen capture, cool. My home page is not as busy as I am really still exploring my new, new phone. I like the other weather widgets I see but I don't know what they are. Using the HTC Hero analog clocks. Handscent SMS, Quicksettings, and talk to text is sweet. Used it from the car last night and it was awesome.
