Just found CyanogenMod 5.0.6.2 in ROM Manager (I have not yet been able to find a direct link but I am sure there will be one soon).

This is from the changelog....

---- 5.0.6.2-Droid
* Add fstab to /system/etc
* Remove Google Apps which accidentally ended up in the build.

BTW - ROM Manager now has an automatic backup feature (beta) is settings.

Please do not call it a "donate" version-- it's a paid app. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but the misnomer bothers me. It's like when people say "Mozilla" when they're talking about Firefox.

Yes. Donate versions are only around because of the tax implications. This is most definitely a paid version. Funny how a "donate" app gets more cred. than a paid one.

Buy it, though.

Ok so there are some posts now over on the CM forum that Koush has said he is working on a theme app that will not only allow themes to be applied over all versions of CM but will also allow people to keep a theme in place when installing an update to CM. The app will also have the ability to let you pick and choose what parts of the theme to apply (kind of like MM)...

This sounds awesome and I can't wait to see it now...

I was thinking about giving CM a shot for the first time this weekend. Now I'm sure I'm going to try it out, as soon as this new multi-faceted theme-eriffic version comes out!

LOL... yea with the way he updates the ROM (sometimes like 2 or 3 times a week depending on bugs) I think the themers where starting to get a bit burnt out... LOL poor JRummy just updated his goodies ROMS to 5.0.6.1 and now he has to update them all again... :p

This is as far as I know a pretty big departure for Koush too, he has been qouted as saying "What's a theme?" when asked questions about themes and his ROM before. I think that he has seen that people love them and just wants to give people the best ability to use them on his ROMs...

Are there any reported problems with this update? I have yet to update, mainly because I just got my Droid rooted this past weekend, and I'm tired of installing ROMs because I tried out a couple before settling down with CyanogenMod.

I switched from DroidMod last weekend and haven't had ANY problems. But I also had to do a full wipe moving from DM. always best to start from scratch.
