Best Extended Battery

I've never bought an extended battery before. Ever. So I'm thinking about buying one to extend the life of my phone. What are my best options? Right now I can get through the day keeping brightness down and toggling connections on and off constantly.

I'd like get comfortably through the day with some brightness on and maybe a consistent LTE connection. I don't need 2-3 days out of it.

Are there any out there that would accomplish this without doubling the size? IF not, what are the best options? Also, what would my case options be then?

Thanks. FYI I did search, but it just confused me more. Like I said, I know jack crap about extended batteries.

Any extended battery kits will add bulk to your phone and the higher the capacity of the extended battery the more bulk will be added.

Samsung actually sell an official extended battery kit for the S3 that comes with a 3000 mAh battery (the stock battery being 2100 mAh) and a replacement back cover. They claim that it's enough extra power but without adding too much bulk to the phone.

I got the official Samsung 3000mAh extended Battery . It costs a bit more that some third party batteries but doesn't add too much bulk to the phone. I can comforatbly get through a whole day with quite heavy use. With light use I can get two days.

Also Diztronic do some nice cases for it :D

I can vouch for the ZeroLemon 6500mah/7000mahextended. It last me two days of extreme usage. I constantly stream iheart radio and rhapsody.

I think it's impossible to kill a ZeroLemon battery in one day.

I thought about that one, but Im going with a 4500mah. I dont want a tank and dont mind a nightly recharge.

I wish I could find some comparison side shots to see the size difference.

ZeroLemon all the way. I actually find it easier to hold the phone. One thing I have noticed after using it for the past 6 months and honestly, rarely dropping it, the case seems to sometimes jiggle the battery out a bit and the phone of course dies. It is totally random (in pocket, after a call). I got it for 25$ on Amazon.

I was ready to purchase the ZeroLemon until I read that the battery degrades signal strength. Something about how the battery covers the antenna on the bottom of the phone... S3 already has weak reception, didn't want to add to it.

Ended up purchasing the Gorilla Gadgets one for $23. First day using it after a full charge, it lasted me from 8am until 11pm and still had 35% left. And I put it through heavy use throughout the day... texting, surfing, gaming, calls, etc. I live/work in a weak reception area, so it also constantly switches from 3g to 4g. I needed a battery to last me throughout the day since I always charge overnight. Gorilla Gadgets hit the spot, I didn't need a battery that last me days.
