Ipads are selling like crazy, the new MacBook pros are selling out and having to be back ordered, Apple ran out of i5 and i7 chips for the new iMacs cause of how fast they were selling, iPhone sales are up again due to the 4.0 announcement and Apples stock is sky high....they are in serious trouble! Apple's not running out of these chips, Intel is. The success rate of the mobile i5/i7 cores aren't that high, even more when these chips have 2 cores cut out by apple. Which is stupid, it's not a real i7 if it only has 2 cores.

Lol... iPads won't sell for crazy for very long. Tablets/e-readers are not a commodity market (like phones have become.) Most people will not buy an iPad or any other device like it, which means that eventually (I would guess < 6 months), iPad sales will be way down and new Macbook Pros will stop selling as well as they are now. Apple's stock is sky high for the moment, but that's always what it does around new releases... I won't discredit Steve Jobs because he is a marketing GENIUS. There is no doubt about that, and I will debate that until the cows come home... However, marketing is great for the short term, and stimulates demand in the short term... In the long run, we'll see the decline and settling and sales will be about the same as they have always been, if not lower... It's econ 101.

Absolutely not... I was an early adopter of the iPods, and still own a 64GB touch. I had a Zune as well (3 brown ones actually, all w/ broken screens.) The iPod didn't have that many competitors when it entered the market either. By the time everyone caught up, iPod was already a household name... The market moves a LOT faster than it did in the early 2000's... The economy was a lot more stable then as well. Think about how many more tablet makers there are now than the number of mp3 player makers back then...

I promised myself not to get into this, but heck. That last part is exactly whats the problem. When the iPad was being sold on its first day with people wrapping around the block both here in NYC and in San Francisco, people were asked "so why are you getting one" 95 % said they didn't know why or that its just cool to have one. One even said "oh its pretty". Really? seriously?

By the way, Apple ran out because Apple manufactures supply issues. It is common practice by corporations to ramp up desire for their product. Supply and demand, look it up, it is quite interesting.

As for stocks being way up and that is a good thing and proof that they will not fall, I take it you do not follow anything in the stock market. LOL @ thinking that high stock prices make you invulnerable. LOL @ saying something is a real web browser even though it lacks Flash capabilities.
