I searched, couldnt find. Lots of conflicting reports so i figured i'd post this and try to get an answer once and for all now that testers have their hands on this baby.

1. Is it a 16GB or 32GB expansion slot?

2. If 16GB

a - Will it accept a 32GB Card - just only show 16GB?

b - Is it possible that a firmware upgrade would allow for a 32GB Card?

What i'm getting at is, can i buy a 32GB Card and expect the Incredible to accept it in hopes that A. It allows for 32GB or B. Future firmware will make it available?

Just dont want me, or anyone else, to waste money on a card if it isnt/wont be supported.

Thank you!

It's up to 32GB...like Sultan says, though..they're currently hefty on the wallet.

Storage

In a somewhat new move for Android phone, HTC has equipped the Incredible with 8GB of internal storage as well as a MicroSD slot which can handle an additional 32GB -- giving you a whopping potential 40GB of space for your goods.

Ok, now i guess people just have to decide on purchasing a 32 or 16

32's can be had on NewEgg for < $100
16's for around $50

I'll probably rock a 16 for starters and if i start to use it as my main mp3 player (which is all i've ever wanted in a smartphone is to be able to use it as everything (phone/pda/mp3/gps).

Good to know, thank YOU

I realize engadget's review said something about going up to 40gb but Verizon's official page says up to 16gb...

Before this gets debated over and over again, there are a couple of threads here over the past week that beat the 32GB vs 16GB to death.

There are also multiple cases that show that the VZW documentation isn't exactly 100% accurate, again debated and beat to death over the last week. The specs that have been confirmed here on this thread since February were from people with hands-on experience with the device. Just last week there was the debate of whether or not there was onboard storage because VZW was inconsistent with the documentation of it in their official spec sheets. Again, the specs that were proven to be correct in that circumstance was from the contributors with hands-on experience with the phone.

That being said, I would trust the experts that have tested the device. Engadget was just the most convenient link for me to paste here because I had the site open in another window. I pasted it in the hope that it would answer the question before it began this back and forth debate that was resolved already.

Not sure where you are seeing microSD cards on newegg in 32gb. The only maker right now that I know of is sandisk and it is still only being sold by them for $200.
