Root [Sprint] Stuck on THE LAST step of rooting my HTC One. Need help.

I have followed each step from various websites/tutorials. I have:

-Unlocked the bootloader correctly

-Placed the "Android Super User" file into my the phone's internal storage (via downloading it directly to the phone, as well as transferring it from my desktop)

-Installed Team Win Recovery Project, and booted using it

Now, when I enter TWRP, I can't find the AndroidSuperUser.zip file. I've tried to locate it in every single folder that is shown to me in the directory, to no avail.

The directory looks foreign compared to the other ones that I've seen. I only have folders such as "/cache", "/system", and "/media". No "/downloads" though.

Also, when I attempt to make a backup it immediately fails, telling me that I do not have enough space in my storage. I'm reading it now and it says that I only have 289MB available, which is absolutely incorrect. I have a few minor apps installed, and other than that, the device is clean. There are 25GB+ free. Perhaps it's failing to detect my internal storage for some reason?

what is your carrier? i can move you to the appropriate root forum, but i need to know what your carrier is. this way peeps who have your phone can help out.

as far as the .zip file goes, it sounds like you unzipped the file. leave it zipped up.

and not sure if your phone has an internal sd card or not, but it sounds like you do and is probably full.

I'm on Sprint. I left the package zipped each time I downloaded it. It just seems that the program isn't detecting my full storage. Maybe it's only recognizing a partition? Thank you!

I'm no expert on this phone's file structure as I don't own one but if it's anything like others without physical sd cards, you might look at /sdcard/0 or /data/media/0.

When I access /sdcard there is no 0 directory. Same with /data/media.

ive had prollems locating files with newer versions of twrp,as well. i used to be fond of this recovery,but am starting to lose my taste for it

try replacing twrp with cw or cw touch and see if you can find your file. im off to work,so i cant link atm,but you should be able to find those images in xda.

Is it necessary to remove TWRP before using CW? If so, how do I go about removing it? I'm very new to this and just want to make sure I don't accidentally brick my phone!

No. It'll flash over the top and take its place.

Awesome. Used CWM, and it powered down my device when I booted from it.

Then I realized that I downloaded the wrong version (wasn't paying attention and got non-Sprint version).

Anyway, just flashed it again, everything went well. Found the SU zip and got it installed. I guess it was just a problem with TWRP. Thank you guys so much!
