Smartphone noob here.. the default browser seems to have bugged out in that any time I try to close, (or add), a page it throws a message saying, "unfortunately, internet has stopped". (I'm currently up to 7 pages) Obviously that's BS in that I'm posting this! Googled how to force close it but can't find the alleged menu button, heh. FWIW, it's not showing up in task manager and the close all option is greyed out within window manager as well. Would greatly appreciate any help! (as always, thanks in advance :))

PS - I've realized I put this in the wrong section and apologize.. still need help tho

Sorry but maybe I don't understand what you are saying. There is a button in the upper right corner which shows the number of open pages you have. If I press that button a new page opens showing each open page in minature. I can then choose to either go to an open page or, by pressing the little x on each, close them. Are you able to get to that page?

you can also press that button then press to the left of the homescreen button and a menu pops up with a "close all" option.

I can get to the area that shows all the pages, tiled, and I've got to assume you guys saying "press the X in the upper right" are referencing the "-" symbol. As per my original post, doing so causes a crash/the message "unfortunately internet has stopped" when it most certainly has not. After the message, the browsed resets, reopening all flippin 21 pages @ this point, heh. As for the close all option, it's grayed out. I literally JUST got this phone, (my first venture into "smart" phones), as well as just got everything else on it set to my liking. My only options seriously a full reset, for a bugged browser?!? (which I'm guessing will wipe all my settings and/or data) I loathe Apple, but maybe I made a mistake here.

Oh, I've not tried any other browsers yet. (shouldn't even be posting this.. near my data limit with no wifi access till Monday. btw, I appreciate all the replies, even if I am acting pissy , heh)

install chrome if it's not already there. The stock browser is shit. You could also try pulling the battery and seeing if that helps once you reboot.

Well I cleared the browser's data/cache etc for the umpteenth time. Low & behold this time it worked!! Guess what tho.. it's started all over again, lol. While I don't like Chrome, (mobile or desktop edition), it's gotta be less frustrating than this/I suppose I'll make due with it until I find a worthy replacement. Once again, thx to all who replied, as well as the thread move! :)

For whatever reason it's letting me clear the pages by way of clearing data/cache etc now. The next time I use the stock browser though, (even after a reboot), the issue returns.. so I said F-it, cleared it one last time & decided to try Dolphin. No problems with it so far and I like it for the most part. One thing I wish was different/I could change though is how big the tabs are. They wase quite a bit of space @ the top of the screen!! (hoping there's a way & I've just not had time to find it yet)
