Is the water damage indicator on the Verizon S4 supposed to be all white, or is it white with pink squiggly lines? We have one phone that I'm virtually positive hasn't been exposed to water that has squiggly pink lines on a white sticker in the battery compartment.

The sticker has to be completely red if the phone was exposed to watter, all stickers from the factory are white with really fine red lines, so your phone is OK.

Thanks. I didn't think there was anyway this phone was exposed to water, but I'm used to seeing the pure white stickers or dots, rather than this multi-colored one.
What happens is when the phone gets wet, the real fine red lines of ink bleed to the rest of the patch, turning it completely red, that is how they and you can tell if the phone was exposed to liquids, not rain, but actually being dropped in watter and letting it soak up in it.

Galaxy s4 water indicator stickers are in two locations that we can see without disassembling the phone. The battery has a white sticker that will be red if damaged. The phone has a small hole in the bottom right corner of the battery compartment where there will be either an orange or light pink sticker. I called at&t with 3 different warranty phones that were sent back till I finally got a competent customer service representative who researched the issue. The sticker will be pink or orange for normal, blood red for water damage. If you have issues with at&t about this, insist that they research or call Samsung about this issue. Good luck and god day.

I dropped my phone in the sink while washing my hands and water ran over the.bottom of the phone and i quickly dried it off. My phone was already on1% and it died in the process. The sticker on the battery is perfectly white. And the sticker in the hole at the bottom is light pink/ orange. But when i tried to charge.my phone it will just buzz every 2 seconds and wont come on and will show the empty battery symbol.whats wrong with my galaxy s4??

I'm stating the obvious here, but your phone has suffered water damage. You could try to dry it out without the battery in by putting in an airtight container for a few days with some desiccant. The silica gel that comes in little sachets in e.g. binoculars etc can be bought in bulk as cat litter. This works best but a decent alternative is a new packet of rice.

If this doesn't work, you can try returning the phone under warranty and hope they cannot tell you have got it wet. My son managed to drop his brand new iPod Touch into some water while he was wearing his headphones a couple of years ago. Fortunately for him, the fact that the headphones were in meant that no water got into the socket, which is where the water damage indicator is. It got in everywhere else but I took it back to Apple and they replaced it no questions asked. They didn't ask us whether we had got it wet but they did check the indicator. We were lucky, I hope you will be too.

Almost the same thing happened to mine, but it wont charge unless its turned off and it just keeps on vibrating and it charges, but my question is why is it doing that? And why does it only charge when it is turned off?
