When do plan changes start?

Hello,

Finally got my Inc order through, free activation, free shipping, etc and noticed that I obviously had to change a couple of things...ie drop multimedia data plan on my current phone, add data plan for Inc, etc. I also plan to drop the texting package. However, I'm wondering when all these account changes take place? I've never pre-ordered from VZW before so I obviously don't want the changes to go into effect until I activate the DI. Otherwise, I have no current internet access on my Voyager and for the little it's worth, I don't want to lose it. Will they just prorate the prices based on when my billing cycle is?

Any insights would be great!

I would check MyVerizon later today. If the plans changes to effect it'll show there...


My "guess" is the take effect immediately... but you should still have internet because you now have a 29.99 data plan. BUT again that's my guess only...

Correct, plan changes do not go into affect until the device is activated.

By preordering an Inc, I'm switching from BIS to the standard $29.99 data plan. My BlackBerry still has connectivity, so I think everything will be good until I activate next week.

Yes, once you activate your Incredible they'll remove BIS and replace it with the email & web for smartphone plan. Because you're changing plans as part of a device upgrade that's how it works.

why are you dropping the txting package? plan on not txting anymore? to my understanding the data plan does NOT cover txts or sms.

The $29.99 Data plan does NOT cover texts. So if you plan to text, I suggest you keep it one on there! .20 per text. They add up pretty quickly.
