I emailed the dev asking if he would just have the clock minus the weather option. His response was if he recieved enuff feedback for that he would add an option to just have the clock. So if you would like this option please email the dev by going to market and looking up the app and then email dev option. Thank you

@ Radikal, I've never tried it. Do you like it alot better than the "news and weather" app from 2.1/Milestone? I've been using it forever now (due to custom roms) and I like it, but I think I'd like animations and what not...You can PM me your opinion if you want since it's a tad bit off topic..

Been using Beautiful Widgets for as long as I've had my Droid and wouldn't be without it. The new skins available (and there are lots of them) really allow it to go with just about any theme. The developer is constantly improving the widget with new custom features (now you can link just about any app to touching different areas on the widget). Not the most detailed weather (I use weatherbug app for very detailed weather reports) but really worth the price.

I have the News and Weather widgets (separately) on one of my screens, but I have Beautiful Home, with clock and weather on my main screen. As Shrink57 said, you can touch different parts of the widget to go to different apps, so it's incredibly useful. Touch the clock, go to alarms. Touch the date, go to calendar. I have the weather configure option set to go to Palmary Weather (which is awesome), for the detailed weather information. I would never want the Beautiful Widgets clock without the weather.

I would love a themed clock without the weather...but even more than that, I would love the weather to theme ALONG WITH the clock. It bugs me that I have a beautifully themed clock and backdrop with a weather section using stock fonts/colors.

And one more step above that...I'd pay good money to have the ability to remove the clock from the notification bar. I hate the redundancy and lack of cohesion the bar forces on a fully themed phone.

Does xUltimate work on the 2.1 based ROMs?

Crap, Shrink57, that's a good point! It says right in the link I posted that it hasn't been tested on anything besides 2.0.1 (which I didn't bother to read, since I had read all of it ages ago), so I don't know whether anyone has made it work on 2.1. Sorry about that, and good catch Shrink57!

I really haven't looked to closely at xUltimate lately (did play with it 100 years ago in my DroidMod days). I just know how finicky 2.1 is when it comes to modding. Supposedly Koush has something up his sleeve in regards to a program to modify just about everything in the 2.1 visuals.

Did you get a chance to try it, CG? If so, did it work?

No...not yet. Got wrapped up in a new SH2 theme that's giving me fits...required me downloading the Beautiful Widget SDK to build a new skin...which itself has become a project. LOL

It's on my list though...once I get NexTheme R3 up and running, reinstall SH2, figure out my BetterCut problem, and finish this new theme...if I still have time before the 30th...when I leave for vacation...

I couldn't even get it to place the shortcut. It works now (since the NexTheme ESE81 R3 flash this afternoon). I suspect it wasn't working because I had deleted the stock home launcher on my old ROM. Tonight, I'm gonna try renaming Home Launcher and see if I can repeat the problem.

Did you try to edit the shortcuts manually?
