Extended Life Battery and Door?

Wondering if there will be (and if so then when) an extended life battery and rear door either OEM or aftermarket....seems like although it would add bulk I wouldnt mind the extra juice...:D

The GSM version has an extended life battery with back available, so Im gonna guess it will only be a matter of time before we can get one for the CDMA version.

They make those for just about every phone and as big as this phone will be i would be really surprised if there wasnt one, just a matter of time.

I personally dont like extended life batteries because i dont like the extra bulk :(

i like the idea of a car charger (i drive a lot)

but my latest experience w/ my treo - where teh charger and plug on the bottom of my phone - makes me want a different solution

(both got serious wear and tear making charging impossible)

i think i want to do this (i think i saw something like this a long time ago)...

remember the old palm pilots? they had a cradle that you set it in at your desk? and it would charge while in the cradle

i saw a cradle once that charged up a second battery at the same time

that's what i'm doing now - i keep two batteries

when one drains down, i pop the other one in

i would rather have two normal size batts than one large one

That was a problem with just the treo chargers it would wear down after a while that doesnt happen with the other phones especially the usb ports the only ones ive seen are people who put it in upside down and try to shove it in completely destroying the port

Do you really spend 4 hours a day on the phone?

Anyway, I am getting a second battery and an external charger (same setup as I have for my Instinct) so I will always have my device available.

Its probably not 4 hours a day talking, but I do get good use out of my plans minutes. I imagine I will use this to talk, just as much as I do now, but I'll use it more often for data than I do now. Which is almost never unless you consider texts and tweets I get.

That said. Im also kinda lazy about charging my phone. It always seems to be dead. Its not just the phone though. Im the same way with my wireless headset.

Im a HEAVY user also...just not on my Hero...I have a Verizon BB that I easily talk 4-5 hrs a day on...sometimes more...at the end of the day...I dont want to answer the phone at home...:)

The standard battery is 1500 mAh (on the Sprint version)... I think those above were for the euro version (considering it's cover is white.)

Seido makes an extended battery (1750 mAh) that will fit under the factory back cover for $49.99

Innocell 1750 Extended Life Battery
Now that would be an option worth looking into, not sure how much difference use life the extra will make though.
