I'm sure a lot of people are wondering the same thing with the incredible coming out very soon. How much is a reasonable price for me to sell my eris on ebay or craigslist. It is in PERFECT condition and i haev a case/screen protector charger for it. I want to put it on ebay but i dont want to go too high or too low. Any help is appreciated.

I was looking yesterday at the buy it nows, and around 250 in perfect condition with basic accessories seems to be about the norm.

Your best bet is to just go on there and see what people have them listed for, and what the high bids are on the normal auctions.

yea i was looking too haha, i bet a lot of people are...but $250 is right around the going price...which is about $300 shy of the incredible retail :(

i have an ebay store and i've found that you get more attention when there's no reserve and you have several pics...original packaging is a plus too..it's risky but might be worth it

O ok...ill go with 200 or 250...luckily i jsut sent in for the rebate so ill get to add another 100 so ill only be about 200 shy of retail price of incredible. I love my eris and all...but Lag is a huge pet peeve for me and there have been so many times where i could have used the turn by turn navigation (2.1) rather than following that map.

Several I were watching before a few weeks back I saw go for about $220-$250
on fleabay. I got one locally on craigslist for $199. If you have the box and everything it came with and it's perfect, I'd say you get get $250 and a little higher. I hope to sell mine and get my $199 back as soon as I verify I can get the Incredible and keep my Alltel plan :) w00t. Well maybe, unless some super solid clean 2.1 ROMs start coming out for the Eris.

Craigslist and eBay are your best bets. I think Amazon also allows you to sell your stuff as a friend of mine had sold an old textbook on their once.

You know you can sign your contract over to someone, right? I'm really going out here on a limb, but see if VZW has can find someone to take over your contract. Or, simply post an ad on craigslist to see if anyone wants to take over a contract with the phone. If someone agrees, go to VZW and switch the info.

I've been selling on eBay for about 9 years, and want to let you know that not having a established account will hurt your selling price on a cell phone. The extent of which all depends on your listing.

So take the time to double check your spelling, and have clear and well thought out photos of the actual phone with a peice of paper with your eBay user name in the photo.

That will help alleviate peoples fears of getting ripped off. Also, while searching for what the Eris sells for, go to "advanced search" and select "completed listings".

That will show you what they actually sold for. You will get AT LEAST 200 for an Eris, even if you're a new user. But keep in mind, there will be fees that cut into your actual take.

So, you might be better off asking for $225 on CL. Just make sure you meet in a busy public place, during the day, and bring a friend with you if possible. :)

Sorry, it was too easy. :)

But what Joe said is true. Plenty of pictures just means you have nothing to hide.

o ok thanks. Ya, i was thinking i would put it up at 250 but i was afraid no one would buy and id end up getting no bids. I've never done ebay, would you recommend putting it up for auction or "Buy it now" or whatever that 2nd option is called

Its easier to go Buy It Now....if someone is interested you can get an almost instant sale.

I just sold an Omnia yesterday in 45 mins.

would someone really seriously consider paying $500-$600 or more for a phone!? Sure they are cool and like a mini-computer in your hand but... seriously? With this economy and job market?

I'm only doing this because i was just offered a job and have to reward myself somehow....and i dont think its a waste of money or anyhting. With a multipurpose phone like the incredible (8mp camera, tons of apps, fb, twitter, gps) i Think it would be well worth the money. And its not like im paying 600 bucks flat out, im tryin to sell my eris to lower that price!

I'd try and do it right now if I were you though. There will be a flood of them this coming week.

I just sold my Eris as a new user on ebay for 200. good luck with it.

Sure you did!

I'm not sure where people on Net Forums get their opinions on what used Consumer Electronics are worth. But, considering you can buy one BRAND NEW from verizon or almost any retailer for basically FREE . I think it's safe to say your phone is worth that much or LESS!

P.S. If in fact you actually did sell your phone for what you said you did, Which I', willing to bet you didn't. And, Actually got Paid for the mystery transaction. Then you are extremely lucky and should be happy there are still some ******s left in this country who buy used crap off Ebay for more then they can buy it new for. Expecially used Internet related gadgets tools. Don;t these mental midgets know how to use the system they are buying the gadget for?

Don't forget the same fool you claim you sold your outdated eris to could have bought a brand new Incredible for the same price or Less in he waits a few weeks.

Your joking, right? You are aware the price Verizon sells it for, is SUBSIDIZED? Meaning you can only get it for that price if you sign for a contract? Most people that buy phones like through eBay and Craigslist are people who are already in a contract, and don't want to shell out full retail for the phone (the phone is $469.99 dollars from Verizon without a contract, I'm not kidding). Getting an Eris $200 slightly used without a contract is not a horrible deal. Of course, now it could be questionable with the Incredible coming out, but that phone isn't cheap either and if your in a contract, you STILL have to pay full retail.
