Has anybody successfully pre ordered an Incredible on a business account yet? I get a different answer every time I call up the business customer support. This last time the lady put me on hold and when she came back she said preordering is for consumer users only. Which sounded like a total BS line?

There was a post on the Verizon Forums (Verizon’s website) from mark_vzw (administrator) saying that preordering will be open on 4/22 for business accounts but I cannot get any of the CS people to confirm this.

This Sucks!!!

I got pretty much got the same runaround. I e-mailed the CSR group, they told me to call the toll free CSR number. They told me to check back daily and that it should be no later than friday. Further e-mails to the CSR e-mail told me it would be available for purchase online on the 29th. So I don't know whom to believe.

Just got another confirmation from my personal account liason:

The way the system is set up, we can't place a order period for this equipment until the launch date. When attempted, a popup comes up on the screen saying not available until that day. Sorry, if anything comes available before this time I will advise.

In the same boat here. Wanting to pre order through our work account and originally our rep said it can't be pre ordered and then the next day she said it should be possible and was looking into it. Hoping she'll come back with the ability - like you guys I'm surprised to find out this is how it works for businesses.

If it is a dedicated CARE rep then she probably wont be able to. Verizon locked out customer service reps from ordering because they were shipping early. If she is a dedicated SALES rep you may have a chance. I had a friend order mine and they are on the sales side but in a higher position than a rep. They said they could order it i placed the order and im just waiting on confirmation so until i get confirmation there is a chance they could be locked out from ordering it too. Should know something tomorrow.

The reason we cant preorder online isnt Verizon trying to punish business customers it's a problem with the My Business website that needs to be fixed. Whether or not they will get around to fixing it before the 29th is uncertain

Hopefully they will have it on the site by 4/22 if not I can be a pretty persistent annoying customer. I do not have a dedicated rep I have a pretty small account 10 phones. The few issues I have had where I had the business account rep get a manager for me .The manager went above and beyond to make things right. This might be out of there control but it is worth a try

If you're the account holder you can always try to register your phone number for a personal account. On the Incredible pre-order page click existing customers sign in and when it takes you to the login page click the Register for My Verizon link and follow the instructions. It sends a text message with the password to whatever phone number you entered. You can set up My Verizon accounts for any line on your account even though you have a B2B account but you can only order equipment if you're the account holder.

I pre ordered the incredible on Monday (4/19) for our business account (my boss wanted it) and I had no problem placing the order. It was time for an upgrade on that line so I got $100 bucks off so It only cost $143 with tax. Somehow they made a mistake and he got the phone in the mail today! I wonder who else got it early?

I take it you did this over the phone. I should have did the same thing. I called up Monday morning asking when it would be up on the site the cs rep said to check the site later in the afternoon. I should have tried to have him place the order

$25 bucks? They are listed as $175? We just saw it on our site and they are listed as $300 with a $50 discount = $250!

Our company gets a very large discount. It was $299.99 with a $50 NE2 for us too but we also got a $75 discount for ordering online and another $150 discount for upgrading the contract on the lines.

We ordered 2 Moto droids on monday for $150 total with BOGO and got the $150 upgrade discount on each line so basically we made $150 on the equipment.

For what its worth I just spoke with my business rep. I'm porting over two lines from AT&T because their service sucks. Anywho, he told me that they can't preorder the incredible for business users however I would be able to order the phone on Thursday the 29th with free overnight. He setup an appointment with me to walk me through it. I guess I will be back on Verizon with my new Incredible next Friday!

You can setup an account now and preorder the phones online. When they get here they will have numbers in them, activate both lines. Once they are activated call Verizon and tell them you want to port in your numbers from at&t to Verizon and replace those numbers. Your numbers will port in a few hours. The buisness rep wants you to wait till the 29th because he will get commission on the sale and he cant preorder them. There is no charge to replace the numbers on Verizon other than the At&t ETF if you have one.

Im not trying to kill a sale for a sales rep im just letting you know all your options.

I figured that, but do I get free activation and fees waived if I do it myself?

Edit: Just saw I did. WTF! lol so basically, I get nothing but getting the phone a day later if I order through my companies rep? Well that blows.

Haha yeah i know. Your best bet, if possible, is to not deal with sales reps. they care about 1 one thing, new activations. They will refer you to customer service you have issues, that is unless you are wanting to add more lines. I recommend doing what i outlined in my previous post. If youre not 100% sure about it call customer service 1-800-922-0204 and ask them if it will work. When the automated service asks you your Verizon number just enter a friend or coworkers VZW number and select option 4 then 5, this will take you to a care rep. If you ask your sales rep they may tell you it's not possible for obvious reasons.

I didn't use a business account but I used our employee discount I was able to order it on the 19th, although the only shipping option was 2 day priority mail. In fact in my efforts to try to change the shipping locations since that was the only thing available I somehow ordered two phones, even though I only clicked the submit button once.

Verizon says they can't cancel the second order until the phone is actually released but to call on the 27th and they might be able to by then.

Nice to know that existing business users get the shaft. After much back and forth with my rep and other reps there, the final answer was it cannot be preordered and I must wait until Thursday when he can then order it for me with overnight shipping.

Instead I'm choosing to head to the local store early to have the Incredible in my hand so I can avoid the very good chance with my luck that something like out of stock, backordered, or shipping problems delay my "overnight" shipping into next week.
