In addition you can block calls. It seems as the economy continues toward the dumper that I have an influx of calls trying to blindly sell me something.

With the combination of Google Voice on my phone and Cox's "selective call acceptance" feature on my landline, I am in pretty much complete control over who may contact me via phone.

said it before but i bet people who got e-mail conformations from vzw will get there screen protectors and what not for the incredible. those are not available for pre order, and are for sale on vzw website so it makes sense that that's what it would be. would be awesome if i'm wrong but i think that's what the e mail confirmation is for. we'll find out tomorrow.

I did not order any accessories and like a previous poster my FedEx tracking link also shows 2.0 lbs and a scheduled delivery for tomorrow before 3 PM. I ordered yesterday via a call into customer service. Unless FedEx is just showing the normal delivery schedule and is not going to hold them until the 29th, I think my Incredible will be here tomorrow.

Placed my order online a few minutes ago. Was going back and forth between in store and online. Decided online after visiting a few stores and dealing with their CSR's. I don't think I could stand being around them anymore. They have absolutely no clue about anything. Maybe we get it a couple of days early, that would be nice.

Also, I am on an ACII plan and had no issues keeping the plan the same doing it online. They must have corrected some of the issues from yesterday. There was no activation fee, it included free overnight shipping without using a promo code, and it was $99 + tax.

Crossing my fingers for early release!!!!!!

Well I don't think I'm allowed back in that Verizon store...I asked about the Incredible and they yet again, played dumb saying "As of now there is no sure thing it would be there on the 29th (in store)" Thats when I pulled it out and said "Well lookie here, the Unicorn DOES exist. I then hung out as they tried to find out why people were getting it early. I cost them two Moto Droid sales by telling the customers to wait for a week and avoid the $35 return fee. The best part was, one of the assistant manager tried to tell a customer I was lying and that I just took the track ball out of an Eris and passed it off as a new phone.


that is awesome that you did that. i wish i could have been there with you. thats what they get for being so ignorant on a phone they are gonna be selling in alittle more than a week. so its confirmed that you and a few others have gotten their phones today. did all of you order over the phone or how did that work? i'm hoping verizon just starts shipping orders randomly over the next nine days, surely they won't try to ship all thoise phones on the 28th. it would be chaos!

Like I was saying, the online system kept trying to charge me an additional $29.99 on top of my Alltel Smartpack plan. I was worried that I'd lose my Alltel plan so I called customer service at (800) 256-4646. They claimed to transfer me to what they called a "Customer loyalty rep". She was the one that placed the order, kept my plan, and shipped it overnight to me.

FWIW I decided to call *611 and ask about the orders. She stated the Incredible is available to purchase now. I ordered mine online and she said that she saw that and that it should be in later today. As of 1:45 Eastern time I have not received it.


At this suggestion I called in to Verizon using the *611 and was able to order an Incredible for delivery tomorrow. We will see how accurate it is but based on the fact that several have received theirs I'm thinking it is believable.

I don't think it matters but I called in for a corporate account that I manage. We have 360 lines and spend nearly 18k each month. But phone orders are apparently still working.

Thank you to this massive community for all fo the leaked information. I lurked for a while but joined once the user guide dropped. I'm curious to see if the *611 works for anyone else.

Just received an email from the CSR that ordered my phone yesterday.

Hey xxxxxx,

[SIZE=+0]Man, that's exciting news! I googled a few web sites and also checked out verizonwireless.com to check on that delivery date and sure enough it clearly states that "Pre-orders placed online before 4pm local time on 4/28 will be delivered 4/29." I pulled that quote directly from the Verizon wireless website![/SIZE]

Here is an article I found online stating the same thing:

Looks like you will be enjoying your new phone quite a few days earlier than expected! I looked at your fedex tracking number and it definately has a package being shipped to you for tomorrows date! Keep me updated and let me know if you get it. That would be great news to know!

isror, i know you have been somewhat of a skeptic so how are you enjoying the phone? is it working out like you had hoped so far?
So far I'm liking it, work has been getting in the way of playing with it too much, but I'm sad panda that my "DROID" sound isn't in the profiles from what I've seen...Anyone know where I can get that again ;)

Do you think with consistent rubbing on the edges by putting it in your pocket and taking it out that the plastic has the chance of wearing?

My wife has a LG Chocolate with a faux silver/metallic lining. After just 6 months of her putting in a cell phone pocket in her purse, the silver wore out and you can see the white plastic beneath.

I only ask so I can consider "skinning" the phone AND getting a case.

Here's a few outdoor pics...it's a bit deceiving because the camera lens, angle, etc... give the impression the screen is hard to read but it is in fact quite good...one of the pics shows this and several external reviews confirm this.

Yes Slumpey I got done on the phone with them at 2:02pm. I got to the woman by calling then pressing 1 for changes, then change device, i think it was 5 or 6, then I told her I wanted to upgrade my phone. I asked for the "Incredible...I think it is called." She said yes I can order that for you, and she went through the whole process and asked if two day shipping was fine. I asked her if she could expedite it for tomorrow and she said I could for 14.99.

Maybe it is like what everyone is running into with the moving their NE2 date. Maybe you just have to get lucky and get a good rep.
