if you're wanting to use a lokied kernel or recovery you must have version f aboot. if your not sure what version your on or just don't want to go through unbricking process you can simply flash version f aboot.img after flashing a lokied file and it will work with out the bootloop. so i made a flashable of version f aboot.img

ms770_motion_ver-f_aboot.img.zip

also there are several ports in the forum that are based on hk's cm10 that flashes version d aboot when you flash the rom. flashing version f aboot afterwards would let you use lokied kernels with those roms. i have tested this myself and can confirm the rom still works fine with f aboot.

I just rooted my lg motion, and to me, its a little more complicated than past phones I've used and modified. maybe it's just the fact that the bootloader has not been unlocked, plus there is an added external SD card that keeps throwing me off as well. none of the less I am scared, lol, and reading every post 3 times before I attempt to any action. I have determined that I am running version f. what is aboot? at the moment, I'm not really ready to flash a new rom, all I want to do is flash a recovery and start making a backup. Any advice?

So, all of this Loki stuff is a bit confusing.. Does BobZ 5-21 already use the F aboot? I would like to install a Loki'd kernel (even though all the "factory reset" nonsense about the flashable recovery scares the bejesus out of me, which means I will probably just stick with 2init for the time being) and try overclocking and all that other jazz, but I am GOOD with any soft or hard bricking. I am assuming BobZ uses F, would that assumption be correct?

Yes you can use a oc kernel on Bobz cm10

bobz only flashes f kernel. not f aboot. so it depends on what firmware your on before you flash bobz rom. or just flash my f aboot flashable from any firmware after flashing a lokied file and it will work. no matter what firmware your on. the guys making lokied kernels and recovery just need to add the aboot to the flashable so it would end the confusion and make it easier for everyone.

you guys dont have a cm kernel to date, you can flash whatever you a want currently because 2nd init will load teh ramdisk of cm, while using teh zImage from the phone (in this case oc'd etc).

with taht in mind cm isnt flashing any kernels, you can flash any version/kernel you want currently with no bootlooping issues.

Hey johnny would it be possible to make a flashable that installs the f aboot and GT's kernel at the same time?

yes it's possible. i already have one on my sd card.
I've already asked not to host the kernel on another thread. I wouldn't do that to your work. I'd simply point people to your thread. ;)

please wait till i actually commit an offense before you chastize me for it.;) because i never planned on posting your work. i made a gt kernel combo the same day i made the aboot flashable but never posted it.
