Back to the Future

Anyone know if you can go back to 1.5 after installing the latest 2.1 leak? I really like some of the new features of the leak but after i installed the leak i have experienced delayed dialing and contact funtions. I want my phone to preform better as a phone before an internet enabled device.

How did you get the leak installed if you did not read the tutorial?

And if you read the tutorial, how did you miss:

This is the Point of No Return
Once you do this, you cannot go back to 1.5, PERIOD.

Yeah I miss clicking a contact and the dialer working immediately. I was frustrated with it the other day and kept pressing my parents home phone. My dad picked up the phone right away and then because of me hitting it over and over again mixed with lag it ended up putting my dad on hold and calling him on the other line. Talk about stupid.

I cant wait till the real update comes out. No thanks to all the people that claimed the leak was so great. It isn't! it is buggy and shitty. Just because you have navigation now doesn't mean it was worth it. I miss my good phone.

If any of you people reading this have 1.5 stick with it! I rather have a flawlessly working phone with a few less features than a less than perfect working phone with more features.

Now is the time for me to bask in my ******edness.

Just because it's not working for you doesn't mean it's "shitty" for others. I think for the majority of people, the bugs are minor and it's working just fine. Plus, if you spent two minutes reading around, you would have known about those bugs so it's not like anyone fooled you into upgrading.

There are 100000000000000 2.1 posts it is difficult to sift through that many. I feel like alot people updated and didn't take the time to use the phone before they ran around shouting how great it was. Then again I have been mis-informed about certain things from the internet on this phone. For instance there is a video of a guy trying to sratch his Eris screen with keys and nothing happens. When I saw that I decided to buy this phone. Now it is scratched to shit. Are all of our phones different? Oh well I will live with it. Just slightly disapointed.

Maybe you should have read more. I read for about 3 days before finally going to root 2.1. Best thing I have ever done. Not put my phone down since. And dont believe everything you see on the internet, if you do, I have some magic beans that when planted, will produce millions of dollars. You want to buy it for $1000?

Not trying to gang up on you redplate, but there is a ton of information on this forum. Yes, there are thousands of posts about 2.1 and the information can be a little difficult to sift through. However, there are still multiple ways to gain the information if you want it bad enough. People start new threads on the subject all the time. People have also gone into the 2.1 threads and started asking questions as well. I have had a ton of people PM me (not an invite, I get enough already) about 2.1 and asked for my opinion. I am sure other members would have provided theirs as well. Also, there are many people that love how well 2.1 works on their phone. Almost everyone has at least one minor problem with it, but the majority of us are happy and think the phone works well. Those with more serious problems are VERY "vocal" about those problems too.

As far as your problems with the phone go, the only thing I can recommend is to read the everything you need to know sticky that Caddyman made. There are links in there to some great information. Try some of the tips and see if they help. You can also take a look at your apps and see if something is causing a conflict. Hope it gets better.
