Eh This is really pretty far off from being usable... it only works on the ORIGINAL iPhone 2g (NOT the 3G NOR the 3GS). And you can't make a call yet, only basic navigation + WiFi work. So it is a good proof of concept / shows potential, but it is going to be awhile before anyone will want to use the iPhone hardware over native Android devices (like the N1 or the Incredible).

I think you can make calls and MMS and all. I read the jump on a few articles that said it was functional.

Have you ever checked the specs on the iPhone?

iPhone 3G S processor specs: 600MHz CPU, 256MB of RAM -- Engadget

iPhone 3GS = 600mhz processor

Verizon's HTC Droid Eris to run Android 1.5 on a 528MHz CPU -- Engadget

Droid Eris = 538mhz
Droid = 550mhz
Nexus 1 = 1ghz
Incredible = 1ghz

My point is that the Eris at the low end of the spectrum is pretty close and thats the low end of the android spectrum. I wouldn't expect the apps to run any better on the iPhone vs any android phone. What does suprise me is the quality of games on the iPhone compared to the android, but that can be attributed to the stable platform and unfragmented os the apple products run. But i wouldn't expect many iPhone users to jump ship to the android even if it is possible. I mean they have more to offer right now, although i will say the capabilities and the future of the android platform are vastly superior to apples closed source platform.

This makes no sense if you want Android Software why not just buy an Android Phone , they make them for all networks.. I mean props to the guy for accomplishing this but seems a little pointless to me lol

The only apple stuff I like are granny smith. And ipods.
True story I don't get the whole Apple Computer thing either they are so expensive , I usually get a new computer every 2-3 years and never spend more then $600 on it ( idon't play games so I use it for Office and Internet) I do however have a Pink Ipod Mini that I use on an alarm stero dock that is pretty awesome lol
