I was a huge Shapewriter fan, but have since gotten used to Swype. Every person I've shared it with are in love with Swype (as am I now). Great program.

Both are excellent, but I've now gotten used to Swype and it seems a bit more accurate and quick.

What's the difference between the two? I'm using SW and love it, but I've always been curious what separates the two...

I was lucky enough to be a beta tester for swype and love it. It's not the be all end all of keyboards though. I use it in conjunction with better keyboard. I would post the official link to the beta version but I can only download it a certain number of times or will get locked out. HOWEVER, check out this site, I saw it on here. I'm not sure if it's the same as the beta or not but it's worth a try and it's free to download. Btw, I have stock 1.5 on my Sprint Hero so you don't need 2.1 to use swype.
