When will BestBuy have the phone in stock?

I walked into a Best Buy the day the Moto Droid was released around 1pm and had no problem getting one. I don't believe it will be any different with the incredible. The Moto had a huge marketing push from Verizon and it's been virtually zero with the Incredible. It's only gone viral from all of the forum chatter.

Rather than starting a new thread, thought I would just add onto this old thread with some additional BestBuy information. I needed two incredibles but they're hard to come by at BestBuy and the wait through Verizon seems long. So when I was ready, I kept monitoring the BestBuy web site for locations around me. It seems that each week, one or two BestBuy locations within a 45 minute drive around me get stock but only 4-5 units at a time and they go quick.

Although the BestBuy web site is not always up-to-date, and calling directly may be best, checking their web site did work for me. I was able to buy one last week at a BestBuy 15 minutes from me (only one in stock) and one today at a BestBuy 45 minutes from me (only one in stock again). The first one was in the white box, the one today was in the black box.

That is exactly how I got my Inc.

I went in on a Thursday 2 weeks ago and they were out, said it would be at least 3 weeks so I purchased the Moto Droid instead.

The next day for giggles, I checked BB online like you said and they showed 6 in stock. I BOLTED there and swapped them out.

I am SO glad I checked that morning. They are shipped from HTC and Best Buy really has no idea when they come in, until they do.

I just got mine from Best Buy yesterday. I ordered it from the one in town last Monday (I hadn't sold my old phone yet and didn't want to get the DrInc until I knew I had a buyer). It was obviously ALOT faster than ordering one from VZN and I was able to get it for $150 to pricematch Sears.

If you're planning getting one from Best Buy, and none of the stores around you has them in stock, there is NO reason not to order one (from them). You fill out the contact form and pay $50, and they give you a $50 gift card. So as long as you know you're going to spend $50 at best buy at some point, there is no real cost for ordering one and you can always change your mind and not pick up the phone (but PLEASE let BB know so they can give the phone to somebody else). And you can always check the availability at other stores while you're waiting, and pick one up there.
