Apps you'll miss.

So, I'm leaving my iPhone when the Evo comes out, and I was comparing my apps to what is available in the Android Marketplace and realized that there are a few apps I'll miss. This is my list:

Sportactular - Best App I've found for keeping track of scores, stats, etc in real time.

BBVA Compass - Looks like Android has an app, but it's JUST to search for nearest location. My iPhone app lets me transfer money, and check all of my balances.

Zynga Poker - Really polished Texas Hold Em app that lets you play against real players online.

TV Guide - Haven't got a chance to look at the ones on Android yet, but this one has a nice, easy to read format.

Facebook - Heard the experience isn't as nice on Android.

3D Games - Apple seems to have more than Android. Some of them are pretty sweet.

What Apps will you miss from your current phone (assuming it isn't Android)? I have no doubt that I'll be able to replace most of my current apps with something similar, but these are the ones I've grown used to.

What apps will I miss? Well, considering I'm coming from a Palm Pre....

NOTHING!!

Task manager and notifications of WebOS. Not a whole lot more. Most are either cross-platform (Foursquare, Facebook, Shoutcast, etc.) or they are things you can just do on the web anyway. In a way, the whole app-for-everything model kind of annoys me. All these phones have great browsers now that can render all kinds of rich web content and yet everyone wants 99 cents for a dedicated app that is essentially a front end for the web app. Totally worthless IMO.

I tend to use smart phones for the built-in functionality (web, messaging, nav, phone, calendar, contacts, etc.) and only get a few apps to fill in the gaps with some streaming media and time wasters.

WebOS:

Facebook is pretty nice on WebOS

Agenda

Pack'n'Track (tracks your shipments with various carriers)

Checkbook

Reboot Scheduler - useful for smart phones because they are like any other computer...need a reboot from time to time.

Internalz - Allows you to browse the internal space of the phone and move files around

and Mileage Monitor - Nicely designed app

I'm sure I'll be able to find a suitable replacement on Android.

Here is one thing you won't miss Adobe Flash, because Apple aint getting that anytime soon! But guess what we are lol. So basically you can play the flash Facebook games in the browser window which is still much large than the conventional iphone app screen at least on the Evo. (I play Zynga Poker, too I love it!)

The Facebook app isn't bad at all, 3D games we have some but don't expect any farting games or the look I can mimic a lighter app. There is a TV Guide app for android looks just like... well... TV Guide. There are a few great sports apps on Android and as far as compass I'm not really sure.

I was going to say games until I saw the 50 Android games in one video, seeing how well the games run on the Moto Driod I can't wait to see what power these snapdragon phones have. Not to mention since there is now the Nexus One, Incredible, and EVO all with similar specs I expect to see some games aimed at pushing those devices.
