The watch will work with the N2, S3, and S4 when Samsung sends an update. The watch itself looks a bit rough around the edges. Not sure if I'd get it though I might just for the hell of it.
Even if it cost north of $300? Someone posted a pricing listed in South Korea which translated to $450. IMHO, they need to price it around $200 to get people on board. Otherwise it will be a novelty item, like that "fancy" looking I'm Watch.
IMHO, to get people on board with this smart watch you need to make it affordable. This way you are going to attract developers with custom ROMs Just for notification purposes you can get a lot of other universal smartwatchs. I use my MetaWatch everyday, STRATA is $129, while current gen Sony is $99. The next breed of smartwatches - Omate really stands out (once you disable 3G radio and don't abuse wifi to get max battery and pure android experience with camera, waterproof, etc.). For $200 Gear would be awesome! Also, as much as I can't stand Apple, all the rumors about 2014 iWatch with some kinetic self-winding battery charging really peeks my interest. If they smart enough, they will make it universal for iOS and Android.
Well I believe the smaller one is going for $250 and with the holidays coming around the corner I figure the price will be Black Friday reduced even further.
So maybe it will be $200 for a short time and then shoot right back to regular price thereafter.

Perhaps one (or more) of the carriers will attempt to one-up their competitors/entice a carrier switch,by offering a bundle/discount,especially on opening day.

Actually I did this last year. (I thought I posted it somewhere).
I bought one of those waterproof arm gym case that straps to your arm, wrist and used it on my wrist for a few days. But didn't like the plastic cover since it made working with the screen a bit hard. (i don't like to wear screen protectors since they feel weird)

Best benefit of this,IMHO,is getting a better/stronger BLUETOOTH connection w/your phone & earpiece, when worn on the upper arm.
Seems to help w/some B/T devices, but, hopefully the newer B/T's do not need the added proximity.
My MOTO ELITE SLIVER II,I'm glad to say, seems to buck the trend & stays connected all the time: Sliver II Bluetooth Headset by Motorola - A Google Company
I almost expect to see it on Amazon or at Best Buy. I fully expect to have the watch sometime around Black Friday as long as the reports are over a 24 hour battery life.
