What if this is a decoy? Something is fishy here. Seems like this is a trend here lately. They have kept this under wraps using the whole Key lime pie name. They're slipping up too easy now. Seems like this has been the plan all along. What do you guys/gals think?

Different companies.

Google kept kitkat unknown since last December. Theyre "oops" was the video showing it. That may have been intentional to start all of the hype.

The FCC filings and photos are from LG. You can't fake an FCC filing, and I'd imagine purposely putting false pictures in one would likely land someone in hot water. The photos are not for the phone that it was filed with. Someone screwed up.

In the end, a very small group of people knew about the kit Kat name. That's easy to keep under wraps. Now were talking about multiple companies producing a product. If you look at all of the phone leaks from most major companies before a flagship announcement this isnt all too strange.

It comes down to more people having the information, and they're more likely to share it or leak it (intentional or not)

It would be nice to have a great camera, but it's going to take some major improvement to the stock camera app as well. However, I keep hearing about all these potential high end parts and am beginning to wonder if that predicted $350 still seems possible.

I'm still hoping they'll keep it at the same price point. But if its like $50 more, I wouldn't mind.

Understandable. I still like to think they are up to something lol. I guess I just want to think they may have a special surprise like the whole name change. I liked either name. Both taste good. ;) I guess we will all know soon. :D

In a small way... I hope it will be priced higher :p
I purposely bought the N4 before they either ran out or the price was definitely higher than the N4 pricing point...
:p but that's just the selfish side talking; so I can be validated in buying the N4 :D

But deep down, I hours the price is comparable to the $350 pricing point. Although, with trends regarding larger internal storage, I'd guess price will be set above $350....
But as we all know that's just a guess. The truth will come soon :)

Saw the lg g2 today, very very nice. If that's the basic chassis for the N5 we will have a great looking phone.

If the N5 is like the G2, I will be getting it for sure! The only thing stopping me from getting the G2 is the price. I just can't justify paying almost the same price as what I paid for my tv. It's just not going to happen. :p

From what I can, and what do I know really, is that the back doesn't look nearly as glossy as the Nexus 4. That would lead me to believe it's not a glass rear panel, it looks more like rubber or plastic. Though I could be way off.

That would be great to see the rubber type. I like to grip my phone. ;)

Yeah it does. Id prefer that tbh

Agreed!

Is it the Verizon one with the "root status" in settings>about phone?

You already got that beast?

Yes and yes. Its an amazing phone. Finally some awesome battery life too. If they run the 3000 mAh in the N5, it should last forever. The LG skin seems fairly resource intensive and it still does great. Imagine it on aosp. Im thinking 2 day battery life easy with moderate usage.
