Holsters for Note 3

I've always used a holster with my phones, mainly because I carry so much junk in my pockets that I don't have room for a phone. With my current phone, a GNex, and previous OG Droid, I finally settled for the Seidio Surface holster. It would hold the phones even with TPU cases, the Seidio Extended battery on the GNex with TPU case, and finally now even the Zero Lemon battery. As often gets mentioned, however, the plastic clip seems to break on these holsters if you even look cross-eyed at them. I'm on my fourth one for my GNex, and I always keep a spare just in case. I think I'm keeping Seidio in business.

Part of my problem admittedly is that my car seats have high side bolsters, and if I forget to slide the holster toward the middle on my belt when I'm getting in the car, I will have have destroyed another clip on the Surface holster.

What are the holsters that others have had good luck with? I do like the the swivel clip as on the Seidios as opposed to just belt loops or clips, but that's just me.

Since the Note 3 will be similar to the Note 2 in dimensions except for height, do those coming from a Note 2 have any special favorites? I recognize these can't be use for the Note 3 because of the different dimensions, but hopefully the vendors with good Note 2 holsters will also make good Note 3 ones.

Turns out the Vega holsters guy is still going those Italian leather shoulder holsters and there is one for the Note 3. He needs to do something about updating his web site. So mine should be here tomorrow or the day after just in time for the phone. (I can live with the being laughed at.) GBP 47

I'll try and remember to photograph it once it gets here.

Thanks for this info -- the Vega holsters look to be really high quality, certainly some of the best I've ever seen. I've sent them an email regarding shipping Note 3 holsters to the US. I probably would get a belt model, however --here in the US if someone saw you from the front or back with that shoulder rig there would be no question that you were "packing heat"!;)

I think he may have a US agent. And yes the quality is excellent. I've had a couple I beat up for 10-15 years and they are still just fine.

Indeed. I worked the 2004 US General Election wearing one and the reaction was as you said. But nobody shot me. These guys also make gun shoulder holsters mainly for Police forces so not so strange.

I may get charged with carrying a concealed Note 3.

You may have to get a license for a CCP (Concealed Carry Phone), as opposed to a CCW....:D

I did just see contact numbers for Germany and Austria outside of the UK, but as you say the website may be a little outdated. A US outlet would be great.
