Man...
I just got done a huge debate with a dude on Facebook, about iPhones VS Android
Clearly, he doesn't understand what "open source" means. And he doesn't understand, also, that iPhone is stuck on one idea, where Android's Open Source capabilities can reach unfathomable depths and lengths, and leave iPhones in the dust. -.-
I tried my best to own him, considering I'm running on no sleep. But, if you wanna read the debate, lol feel free:

Androids VS iPhones - Pastebin.com

Note: If you're wondering why I posted this in here, it's because I'm a ZTE Force user, and it's all about Rooted Android and Jailbroken iPhones. :p
Also, feel free to add why you think Android is better than iPhones, on whatever scale. I'd love to hear more reasons you think why Androids > iPhones, as I cannot possibly think of anymore myself. I love trash-talking Apple. ;)

Yip you can customize android where as iphones a plain and drab and limited. Can't argue with some ppl that are narrow minded. Did you hear the new iphones are breaking very easily? It was on the news yesterday and they launched on friday. man i've dropped mine several times and no problems.

It's cause they're desperate. Lol. They're making them and cutting corners on durability, cause they're a dying breed lol.

Comparing android to the iPhone is to big because there are shit loads of androids on the market. The only androids you can truley use to 1 up the iPhone are Nexus devices and GPE devices, as they are vanilla android (the nexus at least). Android vs iOS is the true statement but there's no point in even arguing because android was the one that bit that chunk out of the apple logo in the first place lol #AOSPlife

Android is open source. A lot of the drivers and extra software placed on the phone by the manufacture are not. If they were cm10 would already be completed

Right, android IS open source. So, once you remove the limitations (rooting), it becomes open source. All it takes is a matter of time to unlock it. It's built on open source, therefore, because it's Linux based, it's open source. Am I right?

Hold on. After I rooted, ROM'd, & themed my Warp Sequent (ZTE N861) I put my phone up against an iCrap4 & 4s. By the time we were done, both my buds threw their iPhones in the dirt swearing "never again!" The point in this is that my phone - with approximately half the specs theirs had - smoked the i.duds and newfound Android lovers seen the light, lol.:cool:

right i mean if someone has a different opinion speak up we can debate...

but i dont see anyone presenting any argument. and i have used one i personally hate it. it has its uses yes but its not for the advanced user and in my opinion they are overpriced too. you get an iphone if you want to look cool, you get an android if you want to do cool things

There are androids that look cool but you've got to remember customer loyalty. Apple could honestly make shit on a stick, put a shiny apple logo on it, and people will buy it simply because its apple. But apple isn't the only one who could do this, Samsung could make a galaxy turd and people will buy it because of customer loyalty. I won't lie to you guys, I love android but iOS7 was pretty damn polished in my opinion. the phones are built properly and the OS is optimized for the phone. But then I though about it, why am I going to sign a 2 year contract with a phone because it looks nice, I could get a nexus 4 for half of the price and do more than I ever could with the iPhone. It all just depends on who you are, kit Kat 4.4 is nice, iOS7 is nice, just explore your options and weigh out your pros and cons between the two before you get tricked by a brand.

The title of the thread was slightly misleading. I thought you were asking for an actual debate :D. Any debate on here would be moot, its on Androidforums, the arguments will be severely biased and one sided.

But just to add my view, everyone is different and so are their preferences. Apple products in general are made with the thought of simplicity behind them. They are created so that a person who is 5 years old or 80 years old, can pick them up and learn to use it in minutes. The major drawback being the lack of customization and options. A lot of people are intimidated when they have too many options to choose from. Others know what they want and are willing to spend a few hours to get it. Android being obviously the one with a lot more customization. However, that doesn't make it "better". Each platform appeals more to a certain audience. We are all individuals.

In short, Apple (iOS) products are for those who prefer to have a device that is ready to go and simple to use right out of the box . While android is more for those who enjoy learning something new while personalizing the piece of hardware/software that they paid for.
