I could have had it today if I didn't open my big mouth yesterday. The girl from BB called to tell me my phone was ready for pick up tomorrow (today), naturally when I questioned the date she checked with her manager and came back with see you Friday.

I had my pickup times set to 10AM and 11AM, but they called back saying that they are not suppost to give us the phones until after 12PM Noon. Weird.

Thank God I'm not in Florida yet. So basically all you East Coasters will be getting it the same time we West Coasters will. Wonder if that was some strategic plan.

Best Buys in Western Washington don't carry Sprint phones! I'd have to drive to Oregon or Eastern Washington to get one. I guess I'll be waiting for Sunday.

I picked up my Hero today at the Sprint Store here in MN. You all might want to check and see if they have them. I know you have to hassle with the rebate, but if you cant wait there available.

If i can get a few hours leave approved i'll be headed to BB Friday afternoon. If not i gotta wait til Tuesday to get there. So wish me luck. I've never been this excited about a phone!...or Sprint for that matter.

I pre-ordered my Hero at the local BB today. The rep there gave me this long speech about how they can't guarantee that I'll get my phone tomorrow or even on Sunday because it depends on when they get them, etc. I'm a little worried since it sounds like they don't even have the phones yet, but part of me thinks he was basically just covering his own tail because previous phone launches (Pre and iPhone 3Gs) went so poorly (100+ pre-orders and only 8 phones arriving on launch day; then no more phones for 30 days ) that he didn't want to promise me anything. But, I was only the 8th person to pre-order the Hero at this store, so hopefully I'll get a phone call tomorrow...

Walked into a Best Buy here in Westchester Cty NY (suburbs of NYC) this afternoon and the cutest Best Buy Mobile girl was there just playing with a brand new Hero...talked with her for perhaps longer than I should have and she said that they would be available tomorrow for RZ members...and that she had ZERO pre orders...
