Verizon N1 no more?

Ive been checking the google.com/phone page looking for updates for weeks now. Today, the N1 for Verizon is no longer "coming soon". Its no longer period. There is now a note that the Incredible is available, but no mention of the N1.

So, is that it?

There also is no Sprint coming soon section either. I don't see how everyone is going to assume that there will be no Verizon N1 because of the Google phone page. I'd say wait till their Google I/O conference to put the nail in the Verizon N1 coffin.

You are THE MOST optimistic person in the world. Face it. The phone is dead. Give up! Also... I wouldn't bet on world peace either.

@1080p: Like I said in the other thread, I could care less if the N1 comes out on Verizon. I already have a N1 on TMo. Do making statements like this boost your self esteem or something?

I was simply stating that there is no concrete evidence that the N1 version is never coming to Verizon.

So far the I only see the following unique sources:

Nexus One | News and Updates
Official: HTC Nexus One not coming to Verizon Wireless Boy Genius Report

The info at boygeniusreport is the only one that strongly suggests that the N1 for Verizon is truly dead but even that is just a quote and not from the Google website.

It'd be nice if people used their brains to think about the possibilities instead of simply just following news headlines like they are the absolute truth.

So you're saying that this quote, that was issued BY GOOGLE, is not credence enough for you to believe that the Nexus One won't be sold on VZW? From all accounts and reviews, for whatever reason, the Incredible is faster, smoother, with less issues (touchscreen issue has been rectified) than the Nexus One. Why would anyone pick up an N1 now? What benefit is it for Verizon to support the N1 on its network when basically the same exact phone (some would say better) can be had locked to VZW in the Droid Incredible? Maybe instead of insulting people about "using their brains," you might want to employ that organ located in your head to perhaps consider the very real possibility (nay, likelihood) this phone isn't coming to VZW.

We won’t be selling a Nexus One with Verizon, and this is a reflection of the amazing innovation happening across the open Android ecosystem. Verizon Wireless customers who want an Android phone with the power of the Nexus One can get the Droid Incredible by HTC, which can be pre-ordered now and which will be available in Verizon Wireless stores on Thursday, April 29th.

@soppper_droid12: You might want to reread my second post in this thread. The quote you provided is in the boygeniusreport link I posted.
Can you provide a link to a Google website that the quote came from, which isn't simply a "he said she said" quote?

If I were locked to Verizon and I had an option of a N1 or Droid anything, I'd pick a N1. Sure, I'd probably be in the minority but just because some of the specs are better isn't everything to me. Just my opinion just like it's others opinions that there is no Verizon N1. No big deal. lol I don't even like Verizon and I'm just about to be a former Verizon customer.

That fact that you are taking my last sentence in my last post as an insult is pretty funny.

The link below to a thread at the official Google Nexus One forum confirms no Verizon N1 to me:
Is Verizon no longer getting the Nexus One? - Android Help

The Best Answer was selected by a Google Employee and says the following:
To add to what a number of news sites have stated, I have further confirmation directly from Google that there will not be a Verizon N1.

The fact that Ry Guy choose this as a Best answer puts the nail in the Verizon Nexus One coffin.
