Gorilla glass can and will scratch. Silica sand is a phone's worst nightmare in terms of scratches. It will scratch any Gorilla glass you can find. I've also heard horror stories of buttons on jeans scratching it. I haven't had any issues with my N4 getting scratched but I baby my phones. I don't put ANYTHING in the same pocket as the phone and use my left pocket to avoid all rivets/buttons on jeans.

Hmmmm there's so many selections of cases I want. On top of the list is the Neo Hybrid case from Spigen. Cruzerlite is another choice. I'm currently using one for my Galaxy Nexus. Love it. I'm really digging those cases from the play store. I love the fact they have the Nexus logo on the back.....desicions decisions. I will get those Spigen screen protectors though.

I am just about to pull the trigger on this one on Amazon. Torn between this one and the Slim Armor, but I kinda like how this one looks a little better so I think I'm going to go with it.

I heartily second this. My LG Esteem survived tons of drops because the Trident case it was in had almost a 3/16ths inch lip. The last thing I want is it landing on a pebble and breaking the screen.

I modified the OP to include SPIGEN SGP's cases. I ordered both the Ultra Hybrid and the Slim Armor. I personally love the Slim Armor with my SGS4, but I thought the Ultra Hybrid deserved some love too. SPIGEN FTW.

SPIGEN sells a car charger adapter that just requires you having your own microUSB cable to charge the device.

I was thinking how cool it would be to have a car dock that used the wireless charging feature. I Googled it and came across this:

While I was looking around on Amazon, I noticed most of them listed a distance for the wireless charging. Some were 5mm, while others were 8mm. Since most cases are less thick than that, I would think you'd be ok. I had asked this very question in another thread last week and a few folks chimed in that their Nexus 4 had indeed charged with a case on.

It completely depends on the case. The thickness and the material will make it vary case to case.

Since you guys can take advantage of wireless charging as well, just wanted to share with you the Qi wireless car dock/charger that I purchased for my Note 3:

Similar form factor to the one posted by jhawkkw earlier. I still haven't received my Qi receiver for the Note 3, but I plan on updating my experience with the charging dock, once I have that in. So far, it's been fine just plugging in the microUSB through the bottom portion of the holder.

Any update on this? I ask because I bought the same protector and noticed how google's own plastic packaging has the slits cut out of it for the correct areas.

It is not getting great reviews. It hasn't arrived yet. I hope it doesn't suck.

The reviews seem to be more about the screen protector that comes with the case than the case itself. I almost never rely on the reviews anymore. I'll buy it and if I don't like it, return it.

I'm having issues with my spigen slimarmor.

It hugs the device so tight it holds the power button down and reboots it. Haven't hit the sweet spot yet where it works
