roboform mobile

I used to use Roboform, but I switched to LastPass. I'm glad I did because it has an Android version: https://lastpass.com/download.php the browser is built into their application but it works.

Thanks for this but I noticed it's a 14 day free trial then you would need to pay $12 a year to use it :(

Does anyone have any Totally free ones? :)

Check out SecForms, it has customizable templates, and is free for the Droid. The PC version is a paid item if you want to sync between the 2. Unfortunately, you can't back up the database on one form and then read it (sent via e-mail or file transfer) on the other form. This is done by sync only, which is only in the paid PC version! It doesn't fill in the items in a form the way RoboForm does, and I also e-mailed RoboForm support asking when it might be available for the Droid, and the answer was "we don't discuss availability", even though I asked trying not to leave RoboForm...

THANK YOU so much for that link!! Roboform has become complacent to the point of arrogance. I was shocked to see the sheer number of browsers and mobile platforms LastPass supports, not to mention all the positive reviews. Anytime I see devs working so hard, and consistently, to keep their user base happy, I have no problem coughing up dough. The premium price is worth it to me, knowing I will never again suffer lock-out if/when I change browser/mobile allegiance. I'm off to check out the Android / Chrome / Firefox versions -- if it actually fills in the form, it's a stone cold keeper!

I agree completely. Roboform used to update and aggressively add new functions, features and Browsers. In the last year or so that has stopped.

I am glad to see another competitor like LastPass taking them on. It looks like a solid program - especially happy to see Android support. Will definitely check it out.

FYI: I've learned, the hard way, that RoboForm has a sorta lock-in, by making it exceedingly difficult to export into any of the standard formats like csv. Thought my goose was cooked, since html-export is good for me, but not for other apps. Turns out, it can be done, using KeePass (free), which imports the html and then exports to csv. We can then use the csv file to import into whichever app we desire. >> File Formats - KeePass

I'm a new Droid user and a Blackberry defector! Actually, the Droid is not here yet but Fedex will be delivering it today. I just checked Roboform's website and they have an Android version available now [and it's FREE]. The only concern is you must sign up for "Roboform Online" to make it work. I've been using Roboform for years (on my PC, my Palm and my Blackberry) but I'm not crazy about having my passwords reside on their server. Yes, it's encrypted but I'm still concerned. Anyone else have similar concerns?

Joe

I'm looking for one Like this Myself so I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread :D

I did Email Roboform and they said they have just released theirs for the Iphone and currently have no plans to develop it for Android. But that doesn't mean they might not in the Future ....

I'm not really sure how it works but I had the same concerns. I think your passwords and all are still saved on your own computer and the online server just acts as a go between to sync the two. I synced with GoodSync and then set up the online bit though. It is still kinda cumbersome and not particularly user friendly like I am used to on my computer but it still is better than filling out everything every time on my tiny Droid screen. I won't complain as I have been a Roboforms user for several years now and am totally spoiled.

Here's what it says on their website:

"Your password files (Passcards) will be kept in multiple locations (one copy on each client computer and one on server), so they will become indestructible."

They also also add they they are encrypted using military grade AES encryption and SSL and that your master password is not stored on the server.

Still, I have concerns but at the same time, I love Roboform and have it on all my PCs. Anyone else want to chime in?

Joe

Just thought I'd mention that you can now get Roboform for Android(2.0 and up)
True. I signed on to the online site, and all my laptop passwords synced up without any problems. Then I installed the APK from the market on my 2.1 Vibrant... but as soon as you open it it crashes with a message "Fatal Error - constructor.java.lang.NullPointerException".

Roboform tech support says no one has reported this. Maybe no one is running Roboform on this phone? Anyone running Robboform on any Android phone?
