Picked my Xperia X10 (black) up from Rogers Plus at Rideau Centre (Ottawa) last night after work. $149.99 on a 3yr contract hardware upgrade. Ran into a bit of trouble with it not recognizing my 4yo SIM card, and had to go back to the store to get a new SIM. Otherwise, it's working great.

TimeScape is interesting, though I can't see myself using it that much. I prefer dedicated Facebook and Twitter apps that are more fully-functional, but it is a neat way to compile data. MediaScape on the other hand is a great media player. My experience with Android is limited, but it's far better of a music player than anything I came across under Windows Mobile, and seems on-par with the iPhone player.

The screen is lovely and works very well. A bit less sensitive along the left side of the screen it seems, but not so much that it's problematic. The default keyboard seemed fine, though I quickly installed both the HTC keyboard and Swype and have been enjoying those.

Overall the device is fast and very responsive. No issues yet.

When the x10 can be rooted i'm going to sell my Nexus1.. This phone is great.. one thing I have to say is if you dont have the device and commenting about it, then your point is invalid to me since you havent even setup the device.. sure you might have tryed it for a bit and likey just used the default setup... Again, the X10 is a solid device. You will not be dissapointed. I'm Lovin the X10.. Once the X10 is setup I have to say I like it alot more then my Nexus1.. so I think i'm going to sell my N1.. the X10 has an amazing screen.. BTW you can read the screen in direct sunlight.

Also I didn't really like Sony but I think with this phone sony has done something really good. they have made a solid device...

I have had mine for a few days and I love it, Would be nice if it had a Flash instead of just the light but again those are little things that I can live with, I have the LG Eve and I bought the X10 to replace it, I do not miss the Eve at all. The Sony does everything I need it to do and the movies on it are amazing.

I put Avatar on the X10 that I have and all I can say is WOW, the large screen certainly makes the difference in the quality of movies on a phone.

Yeah, did the same as soon as I bought the X10. Ripped it to my PC and re-compressed it in Handbrake to an MP4 at 720x464 resolution (same as source). Looks amazing. A great way to show off the phone.
