I went into Verizon this afternoon since people seemed to think that the Eris battery isn't the same exact battery used in the Incredible. The sales rep stated she had no idea and they didn't have any units to show. Then the manager came over curiously and I started flooding her with information and she goes we have an incredible in the back do you want to see it? Of course I said Yes :)! First impressions: VERY fast and it was a lot thinner then I thought. A very good feel in the hand. She said they are coming out with a netflix app soon that will allow you to stream your netflix straight from your droid to your tv via the video cable.

My friend who has the Eris was with me at the time and we took out his battery from his phone and she let me check the fit on The Incredible and guess what?? It was a dead fit. She said the battery life on the incredible is pretty mediocre and that it isn't very good so that made me feel better about purchasing my Seidio 1750MAH that I will be putting in my incredible when it gets here Wednesday!

If any of you are thinking about buying a battery I strongly recommend the Seidio. You can get it here for $42.95 with free shipping!

If the stock battery doesn't last long enough, I'm going to go with the 2150mah battery from Verizon. So many people have said that this phone is very thin. The 2150mah battery is supposed to only add 1mm of thickness. If true, it sounds perfect to me.

Thats what I'm thinking. Im used to the Storm, it was a heavy thick brick!! If nearly double sized battery only adds 1mm, with the same look as the original back, i think ill grab that.

This is great news! I was getting right around 16 hours on my eris with the oem battery. The 1750mAh Seidio battery has been running for 14 hrs so far and I'm at 60%. I'm very happy with it, regardless of all the negative reviews recently. I tried very hard to kill it for the first couple charges and could barely do it in a day with gps, wifi, bluetooth and 3g on with heavy use.

All of your posts read like a Seidio commercial.

I encourage everyone to check out BatteryBoss Calls Out False Capacity Claims! before you buy one.

Im of course going to wait and see what i get first, if i'm in my car, ill just plug it in, as long as i can get from morning to night and have some juice left, im fine, but if im having to plug it in half way through the day, thats not going to work, im not going to be one of those iphone users who carry their charger with them.

I saw this the other day. It is pretty disturbing but the Eris 1750mAh Seidio battery is not listed or tested. I know nothing about battery technology so I'm not sure if all there battery's are the same or not.

Of course its not listed they aren't testing the eris's batteries, but you can draw conclusions that they make the batteries using the same in-house testing and equipment they use to make the eris batteries.

OK, but how do you know the 2150mAh Verizon battery will fit? What if that extra 1mm is just enough to prevent the back cover from going back on?

i always vote for the standard battery(slimmest) and another one in my left front pocket. if you don't have,or have never tried pockets,i highly recommend them.

This is the exact reason I got the extended battery capacity that didn't increase the size of the phone.

Although, depending on how the HTC extended battery and cover look I'll probably pick that up too if I'm still not happy with the battery life

Ummmm, the 2150mAh battery from Verizon comes with a new back to allow for the larger battery. The back going on isn't a concern. I'm more interest to know if any of the covers/holders will fit over the phone with it being slightly thicker.

Actually, from what I understand it does not. You must purchase an additional cover.

Both come together per the launch kit.
