Why to get the Incredible
1. Double the screen resolution of moto droid or i-phone
2. 7 customizable screens with pinch/pull on all screens(main screen, pictures, websites ect)
3. Verizon Wireless backup assistant
4. ****!!!!TETHERING!!!!****
5. snapdragon runs quickkk

Why not to get the Incredible
1. YOu wont get it unless you pre-order(stores will have 10 max) haha :p
2. Video playback is TERRIBLE. I took my moto droid and played same video as the incredible today, and the incredible looked absolutely horrid..
3. no physical keyboard, touch keyboard is DECENT
5. doesnt come with memory card so system files arent saved to card.
6. Too light, this could go on either list, but its SUPER light which means its brittle IMO.

Launches Thursdays in stores and I wont be working so IDK how well its gonna fair, but every store in my area got 10 that are preorder only. So im sure it wont be that great.

There's not a huge want from them in the stores

What proof, you don't have one
3. no physical keyboard, touch keyboard is DECENT
not everybody wants a physical keyboard so this is not a negative
and the reviews say the touch keyboard is one of the best
5. doesnt come with memory card so system files arent saved to card.
comes with 2gb microsd PLUS 8 gb onstorage

Not true, check the specs.

2. 7 customizable screens with pinch/pull on all screens(main screen, pictures, websites ect)

Same with senseui on all other phones.

3. Verizon Wireless backup assistant

I don't know why anyone would use this, but ok.

4. ****!!!!TETHERING!!!!****

You can tether with any android phone. Wireless tethering is another story, you must have root access to do this.

5. snapdragon runs quickkk

Um kay, thats not really enough info to make an informed decision but whatever.

Depends on the store.

2. Video playback is TERRIBLE. I took my moto droid and played same video as the incredible today, and the incredible looked absolutely horrid..

The resolution of the source file is whats important, if its been ripped and encoded to fit the droid screens resolution then obviously it won't fit the inc or iphone. You rip video files to the resolution you need not what works on another phone or device.

3. no physical keyboard, touch keyboard is DECENT

Not a big deal, people like myself can type faster with Swype anyhow.

5. doesnt come with memory card so system files arent saved to card.

This has been addressed, and it has nothing to do with system files, its the apps that need to see an sd card due to the way they've been coded as all other android phones before the inc. have had sd cards.

6. Too light, this could go on either list, but its SUPER light which means its brittle IMO.

Thats a matter of personal preference, i doubt the weight of it means its any less durable than any other phone. It just means the gravitational pull twords the earth is less than with other phones you may be used to.

LOL, you have no idea. Expecially since all those who were waiting for the nexus one to come to verizon are busy preordering their incredible right now. And trust me there are thousands, hundreds of thousands of people who have been waiting for the n1 and have just found out that its a no go and the incredible is their only alternative if they want the processing power and an oled screen.

I don't think there are hundreds of thousands of people who have just found out that it's not coming to Verizon. Most people don't even know about the HTC Droid Incredible besides people who really like looking at tech stuff. Thousands, I would assume so. Still though... you have to consider how many of those people are planning on getting it Thursday in stores. You have to subtract how many people have preordered online and also find out how many people don't even have upgrades available until a little after Thursday.

I think that the OP has good intentions here. He is just trying to be realistic about the phone from his experience of using it as a Verizon rep. Unfortunately some of the information is wrong or personal preference. I would have really liked the screen to be 480 x 854 like the droid but that's about all.

The part that scares me is that if this is the information that Verizon is teaching their reps, then a lot of people are going to be getting misinformed about this phone starting from Day 1. This phone has great potential for the progress of Android. I hope Verizon doesn't mess that up with poor training.

Those aren't reasons "not" to get it, those are "excuses".

1. Only certain stores are limited to 10, not all of them
2. Motodroid has higher resolution than Inc. (400x854 > 400x800)
3. Don't know touch qwerty before you've tried it for a while. I used to be married to physical until I got an eris. Now, I can type faster on my eris then any physical keyboard.
4. (Where's #4)
5. System files are not saved to SD card anyways. Program data of certain apps is sometimes saved on the SD card. Without an SD card, the system should save data to the embedded ssd space which has faster transfer rates than any SD card. Also, there is still a place for SD cards unlike the iphone. So just buy one.
6. Light doesn't mean brittle, in fact a light phone will take less damage from a drop then a heavy phone per Newton's Law of Gravity. Also, if it's too light that's good because that is another good reason to by a case.

Excuse-much?

"2. Video playback is TERRIBLE. I took my moto droid and played same video as the incredible today, and the incredible looked absolutely horrid.."
Not on the one I played with in store.

"3. no physical keyboard, touch keyboard is DECENT"
The one I played with in store had a better virtual keyboard than the virtual on the droid AND the physical on the droid. My wife felt the same way and decided to go with an incredible instead of the droid. The keyboard from my use was better than the iPhones and any phone I've used.
