Help note 2 won't reading SIM card

Hi, any help would be appreciated. I have an unlocked galaxy note 2 that shows No SIM Inserted when I place my 3 network SIM inside. I have tried other carrier SIM cards and the same thing happens. I have had a new SIM card reader fitted but the problem persists. I've checked the IMEI number and the phone is not lost/stolen/blocked.

Any suggestions?

Go to 3 store and ask for another SIM. Had a problem with one of mine before and when I got a replacement it was fine.

Thanks for replying. I should have stated I've already got a new SIM from 3.

A bit drastic but I suggest you do a thorough backup then clear the cache and do a hard reset using the recovery console.

PS Since posting I have seen someone on the Note 3 forum is having a somewhat similar problem; some useful tips there.

Does the phone show your IMEI?
