How to uninstall VZW software upgrade assistant

I plugged my Galaxy S4 in at work and it installed the VZW upgrade assistant software and I am now unable to uninstall it. I do not have administrative privileges. Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

I doubt you can, absent rooting. But don't worry. Other than taking up a bit of space most the bloatware installed by carriers doesn't really do anything. It probably doesn't slow down your device at all.

but you will need to be rooted as goodspike mentioned.

I'd like to remove it because every time I plug it into my PC (two to three times a day), the PC starts up an Internet Exploder window to advertise Verizon, slowing me down. Drastically.

I'd like to check it on demand, maybe once a week.

(I plug it into the PC to update various files (e.g., DocsToGo) throughout the day)
