What launcher are you using?

I was going to keep touchwiz, but didn't like that I couldn't resize some of the widgets, and MyMagazine constantly popping up, and that I couldn't seem to change the page switching effect (you know, each page seems to be on a 3D box). Oh, and I wasn't a fan of the Messages icon. It looks too much like email. I know, these are all very minor points, but I guess I had grown too comfortable with Nova Launcher.

So, I'm back to using Nova Launcher with the Glasklart theme, which gets rid of all of the above minor preferences. And I used Home2 Shortcut to remap the home button, so if I double click it, it now goes to Google Voice Search. I actually did keep the S Voice on for now, just to wake it up from sleep using "Hi Galaxy", and I kind of like it as a novelty for now. But if the battery drain is bad, I'll probably turn this off. But after 22 hours of playing with it, I'm very happy so far...

Forgot to mention, "My Magazine" doesn't work using Nova Launcher, which I don't mind because you can customize gestures for Nova to launch certain apps. I changed my single finger swipe up to open Flipboard and it gives the same effect, except it opens the full app (rather than the custom app built for Samsung, which was made by Flipboard anyway).

Additionally, for those considering a 3rd party launcher, Nova also has the ability to create 2 finger gestures as well. I still haven't used those yet, but at some point I will likely take advantage of those, especially for homescreens that I have scrollable widgets.

-EDIT- Correction on My Magazine, in case people see this first before my secondary post. It started working, but still isn't as good as the actual flipboard app.

I've found the subtle new improvements in TouchWiz much to my liking. My Note 3 provided me with all the preference adjustments I needed to optimize my phone exactly the way I wanted.

Prior to taking delivery of my Note 3, I was certain I'd use Nova Prime as I do on my SGS 4. Yet once I took delivery and used it in its original configuration while remaining open minded, I was pleasantly surprised at just how fast and smooth it is.

At this juncture I'm so busy enjoying the great performance of my stellar Note 3, I'm not about to change anything :D

Loving Apex Pro! Tempted... VERY tempted... to try the GEL.

Using it on both my N7 and G2. It's good, but not great. I miss gestures from Nova Prime and the slide to Google Now just seems unnecessary. I'll stick with GEL for another day or two but will probably go back to Nova Prime.
(plus the icons in GEL are hilariously HUGE!)

I used Nova Prime on my Galaxy S2, then S3, then HTC One and now on my Note 3. I love it as it gives such a granular level of control over the screens without losing any of the functions of TW. I've used pretty much all the other launchers for a few days apiece but always find myself returning to the warm, loving bosom of Nova.

(Yes, I legitimately made a reference to breasts in my post. Today will be a good day!)

I always find myself coming back to HOLO LAUNCHER HD,even though APEX & NOVA are very similar, except they both lack the following items:

1) HOME BUTTON in the app drawer.

2) DUAL SWIPE ACTIONS on the action buttons,a real cool/easy access to multiple swipe actions, especially when on the dock bar/bottom row.

3) Gotta take a second to give props to NOVA PRIME (BETA) for the transparent status/notification bar :adore::congrats::thumbup: ........

Hoping HOLO adds this soon!

Admittedly,HOLO lacks in the theming department when compared to APEX & NOVA,but,if you're preference is for a cleaner look + functionality,I'd say HOLO LAUNCHER HD is hard to beat.

Will the Galaxy Gear still work with NOVA Prime? I've seen a lot of good things about Nova and might wanna try it, though if it doesnt support the Galaxy Gear, I'm gonna have to hold off. >.<

Wasn't there a video of a developer that rooted the gear and was running Nova Prime on it?

Not sure why the gear wouldn't be compatible, but i don't have a gear to test it.

At the moment I am still using TouchWiz though I did try Nova briefly as I have used that on a previous phone.

By default TouchWiz seems to have lots of unused space on the screen, i.e. if you put icons to launch apps on a screen rather than widgets there are big gaps between them. Because of that and big screen on the Note 3 I thought I'd try changing the number of rows and columns but I notice if I do that some of the widgets seem to get confused and start drawing things on top of each other. Anyone else notice that? What did you do about it?

Ive been using Go Launcher last couple of years on s3 and note2. I tried it on note3 but it would occasionally revert back to touchwiz when exiting an app. So decided to give touchwiz a go again. But miss 5x5 and also landscape view.

After hearing all the good reports on nova prime. Have tried that and seems ok so far. Not sure its any better than Go launcher. Go seems to have more customisation and features.

Anyway..nova also stops working every now and again and im back at touchwiz until I press home.

Does this happen to anyone else?
