Depends in what you mean by long. I've blogged and taken multi paged notes. I like the handwriting and whatnot. Probably not good for a novel but as a journal typeof thing. Sure.

If you don't have N3 go to your carriers store and try out S-note app and spend a little time changing the pin/pencil/ink type. Etc. Sometimes I notice that with the spen on the phone and my finger on it, that the screen might scroll or something. I suspect with more practice that we could optimize that out

I use handwriting or voice for long note taking. It's a lot better than poking at a tiny keyboard with my fat fingers. (The telepathy module would make it a lot easier, but I understand that they can't think of that one.) I have to correct a few things here and there (and my handwriting is so bad even I can't read it, and my speech is a bit accented), but until they make super-intelligent computers I can't complain.

I use and greatly enjoy taking lots of long notes daily. I like variety so sometimes I use the S-Pen for a week or so and other times I use SWYPE. For shorter notes I use SWYPE because it's easy and extremely fast. I'm very happy with my Note 3.

I attended my first board meeting yesterday with nothing but my Note 3. Took notes for 2 hours using S-Note.

It's actually quite handy!

I agree. I use my s-pen in conjunction with an app called notebooks Pro which gives me individual notebooks for each subject. I love it! I can take notes all day long. And it can usually make out my scribbles correctly.

I've used my GN3 quite a bit for note taking, but mostly short notes - reminders, calendar appointments, that kind of thing.

I use Lecture Notes on my Note 8 and it works very well. On the Note 3, even with the thickest pen, I get a tiny little line, hard to see, hard to write with. Do you have a way to increase the pen thickness?

I always write my shopping lists on my Note 3 - Papyrus. Write with the pen (change colours at will and any pen thickness you want) and erase with a finger tip.
