Root [International] Android 4.4.2 Cyanogenmod Issues, on S4.

I got my Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) rooted and installed Android 4.4.2 Cyanogenmod 11, works fine overall, but it has got some issues and i hope you could help me with that, if there is anything to be helped.

1) Battery Life - Even though in the reviews it was told that 4.4.2 Battery life will be longer as usual, in my Galaxy S4, it has been reduced at least 30%. I am using the lowest performances but still...there are times when i go to sleep, let my phone with +50% battery, when i wake up, (no apps running) it is like 14-17%.

2) Call Issues - This is the most annoying one. My phone, before the 4.4.2 worked just fine. Now, when i make calls, they ask me if my phone is in the Loudspeaker cause they hear my voice as being far from the phone. And the other call issue is, after 1-2 mins into the call, it just stops...can't hear to whom i'm talking and they can't hear me. Happens not every time but, in 5 calls it happens 3 times.

3) Camera storage - While in the original version (4.2.2) i could store directly photos from the cam to my SD Card, now there is no option...is there even a way to do that ?

Thank you all for your support.

Hello valmirkastrati!

Bear in mind that CyanogenMod 11, official build, is in its infancy and is by its very nature, experimental and constantly evolving and, IMHO, I would not recommend it for novices who require a stable, fully functioning, stable platform.

There are so many Official and Unofficial builds of of CM 11, not to mention Test, Release Candidates, Snapshots and Nightly versions of these, that it is impossible to comment without knowing if you are on an unofficial build or the official CM 11 build and which release of that build. However, I cannot see an official release of CM 11 for the GT-i9500, octa core, here...

Therefore, it could be that you are on a developers unofficial, experimental, build version of CM 11.

Try installing GSam Battery Monitor from the Play Store which will show you what your battery is being used on.

You may need to update your modem to be compatible with your location and network. I would check on the forum that supports your CM 11 version.

By default, the pure Android 4.4.2 firmware from Google, that CM 11 is based on, does not allow for external SD card storage. There are work arounds available for this that you can use and you should check on the support forum for your version to see what is available for your build and model of phone.
