Help Back Cover Problem

Hey guys,
Just got my new galaxy bought from Ebay (germany) and it's now charging.
I have noticed the back cover on the left (where the volume key is) side does not align perfectly, there is 1-2 millimeters of space between the phone and the cover towards the top of the phone.
It might not be a big deal aesthetically and look wise, but I don't want dirt to come in the phone.
Did anyone of you experienced this?
If it's a cover problem, I will just buy a new cover and change it... if it's a phone problem, I would have to complain and ship everything back....

I got it from germany over 3 months ago! Its not that bad, but now that i know its there its anoying me. It almost feels for a second like the screen clicked in, but its actually the case on the back against your hand.

Oh well, i'll get a replacement case when i scratch the shit out of this one!

ive got an annoying thing.

if i hold the top left corner of the phone with the screen facing me and tap the bottom right corner it vibrates quite heavily like the speak of vibration mechanism is loose.
i notice it when i was taping the power button to turn it off but its only that side

wierd one tbh

My friend i get one from Israel and i have the same problem and after searching and i asked samsung and and , i found the problem , check if you have any warranty label on one of the screws if not it is normal no problem they show me the same thing on 20 galaxy don't take care , in first i care that because i thought there is problem at my galaxy after that i found that this is normal in some of them (it is not defect - samsung e-mailed me )

well .. this is definitely not normal.... the little hook is definitely broken...
My choices:

-keep the phone, wait for someone to sell the back cover on ebay (still no one is selling it)... no idea how much it would be.
I don't think International Warranty would do anything about this...

-contact the ebay seller in germany, ask for:

a partial refund (which probably he won't give)
or dispute, send the phone back, get a full refund, and probably wait for the Samsung Behold 2 at this point.... very frustrating.

From the get-go, this sounded like the back cover not being snapped in place correctly. If you've now found that it can't (having removed it and carefully tried to replace it) then I would definitely go back to the seller.

How long ago is this eBay purchase? Most sellers care pretty much about their rating, so if you haven't rated him already, consider that a pretty big stick to wave with. In my experience, I've had little trouble getting at least a non-trivial partial refund in exchange for a good rating "all things considered".

Alternatively, try a little careful force to see if you can put those hooks into a usable state where the cover at least isn't bent outwards (even if it's not exactly shut tight).

Just my two cents. Good luck mate!

Thanks,
tried to carefully put it on, but a tiny little locking piece is broken, nothing I can do, there will always be that gap.
Ebay purchase is 2 weeks old, just received phone yesterday, didn't rate him yet (obviously) and I just e-mailed him complaining... let's see what happens, but I am leaning towards shipping the whole package back.
Too bad, but this transaction was just a mess from the get go.... in any event, I will try to purchase another Galaxy or the Galaxy on T-Mo US (if specs will be as good)

I would be civil with him first. If I were him i'd send you the back off another samsung, and ask you to post that one back when u get it. He could put that together with the other samsung and return it locally. Everyone's happy and it doesnt cost anyone anything excpect some cheap postage.

Of course if he's being an ass, then return the lot :)

Rasta, Chris, Kam,
thank you for your advise. For now I e-mailed him back on ebay (didn't file a claim yet) asking him how he intends to fix this problem, by offering me a credit or by accepting my full return.
I always start in a nice, polite way.
Let's see what he says, and I will take it from there, although I already know from waiting over 10 days for this guy to ship (he was asking me for more money because he didn't sell the phone as high as he wanted!) that I will eventually escalate to a claim, and win it because I am covered.
Too bad for his feedback.
The pain in the butt will be spending for shipping back to him, plus the fact that in these 24 hours I realized the Galaxy is the best Android device to date, that can only get better with software and this forum.
