Introduction:
This is a stock deodexed dump of firmware 12B. It can be used for customization.

Description:

  1. Deodexed
  2. Zipaligned
  3. Pre rooted (install supersu/superuser from play store)

Extra apks:

  1. Nothing atm!
Anything Else:
  1. You must have a =!Rooted!= phone. For that, use Saferoot or towelroot.
  2. You must have some form of CWM installed to install this. (use F6utility)
  3. I am not responsible if you mess things up. Okay? Okay...
Thanks:

  1. Pressy4pie (CWM build + F6Utility)

Thank you for this. I just ordered my phone and should have it by Monday or Tuesday. I am glad we already have an easy root method with Saferoot, and we even have CWM and this deoxed rom. Props to all who put their time into this. This is the perfect ROM for me because I like customizing my phone from a base. The only things I would like to add to this ROM are init.d support and the build.prop tweaks from your other rom.

Why does everyone use KDZ recovery methods when all you have to do is click Upgrade Recovery on your Mobile Tools Options list.
if this is the case (Hubsabubs) could you explain the steps I'm a NOOB and I been trying to get my F6 (MetroPcs) back to its original state before I downloaded via PC this Chinese (VROOT)-SuperUser. did this mess yesterday and been trying to get it back to its original state before the Root. I didn't want that type of Root; again NOOb here, yes I know to research more before installing anything else. Especially on a NEW PHONE!!! Yes I do want a rooted phone but I want the rite one for the Metro Pcs F6.
The reason for me even Rooting it was I was trying to get more memory for the internal storage. Please Help me if you can thanks whole bunch!!!!

Here is the guide he made that you're looking for. It's hard to find because it's not in a thread of it's own...

For root and recovery you have 2 options. Here is the one found here in the threads...
http://androidforums.com/metropcs-optimus-f6-all-things-root/823131-guide-rooting-f6-recovery.html

And here is a custom all in one root & recovery I made which is on my site...
Root and 2nd-init CWM Recovery - Android Creations

As always, make sure you read and understand everything before you install.

Here's the link to the thread I created showing how to recover a bricked phone and Unroot your phone.

A link to the thread I used for rooting my F6 compliments of Trevor.

I get a lil lost sometimes, I bounce between the All Things Root Section for the F6 and the Standard Optimus F6 section, kinda wish they would merge the 2, because someone looking for an answer on one, might find it on the other and vice versa, but sometimes don't know the other is there.

If you're responding to me, I'm sorry but I'm new to the Android scene and don't know what either of those things are. I'm not new to Linux or modding devices, but I don't know the ins and outs of everything for every Android phone.

What's the correct way to flash this ROM? I'd love to free up some internal space since this phone has barely any.

I ask this mostly because, this KDZ method unbeknownst to me might provide a better method to doing it. I myself am still new to some things, such as KDZ flashing methods. I tend to try and learn as much as possible about any method used to achieve a result. I have seen this KDZ flashing method used all over different forums, but have not seen much use of the Mobile Support Tool.

Are there perks to using this method over the Support Tool? Like perhaps being able to keep a rom on your SD Card, and being able to recover wherever one might be at the moment of an issue, as opposed to not being able to connect to a computer with the Support Tool?

As far as I know, since I started using the Mobile Support Tool by LG on my Optimus M, is a major saving grace. It's a tool that anyone that owns a LG would want to have in their toolbox.

Yeah, screw this dump. I tried again, and this time it installed fine. But, when I rebooted, I got stuck in a boot loop. In order to turn my phone off I had to take the case off, during which the case snapped. So in addition to wasting my time, I wasted $20 on a case because of this dump. At least now I know not to recommend that brand of case - or this dump - to anyone ever. :p
