Zerolemon Extended Battery

I just got my Zerolemon extended battery in today's mail. I'm charging it now for the twelve hours it suggests for the initial charge. Actually, I had to start the process over after the charger plug got accidentally yanked out of the phone. Hope that doesn't hinder the process any.

The battery comes with a rather bulky but rugged case. The case and battery add some weight to the phone, which I need to get used to.

Anyway, I wanted to start a thread to discuss the Zerolemon and extended batteries in general. What are your experiences with the Zerolemon? Do you use a different brand of extended battery? What kind? Does it come with a case? Does it fit a case you have currently? What else can you tell us about your experiences?

I had a zero lemon for my Note 2 and could not fault the battery itself. It certainly seemed to be the real deal and lasted much longer than the stock.
One word of caution from my experience - be careful when you remove or reattach the case. It obviously has to be quite tight as it acts as the whole back of the phone and not just a case, but I'd only removed mine a half dozen times before I had some noticeable damage to the phone bezel.

I had a Zerolemon for my Galaxy S3. It was wonderful. I had a white case, which got VERY dirty and was just okay in quality. But i never had damage to my S3 due to the case.

The cases they make for the Zerolemon now are very well made. Love it. The case is structured in such a way where the phone's frame is protected in every way.

I've no complaints about these products. In fact they exceed what I expected for them. I received my on 1/27/2014.
The case has an internal hard plastic shell that fits extremely well with a cut-out so that you can use any size battery if needed, along with a foam lined back panel that holds in batteries of lessor capacity. So you can run the stock battery as well as any of the other batteries of 6400 as well as the 10,000 mAH battery. However with the 10,000 mAH battery you cannot use the foam lined back panel. It just fits into the slot and the TPU case holds it in place. Excellent fitment. The hard shell had a built in front clear plastic shield that doesn't go well with the 'Mime Ghost Glass' screen protector that I've go installed so I just removed it. Looks wonderful and even better if you spring for one of the alternative colored 'Rugged Cases' rather that just use the default all 'Black' case.
As far as battery performance, I couldn't ask for better. With 10,000 mAH, I've now been through only 5 or 6 re-charge cycles in 15 days, which averages out to about 2.5 to 3 days per charge cycle which I believe is really excellent. Right now, I connected it to the charger (2100 milli-amp AC Unit) last Friday 2/7 at 10 PM when it was at 24% and took it off the charger at 8:30 AM Saturday morning. It is now about 9:00 PM Monday 2/10 and it is currently at 21% and I've been doing my normal business of e-mail, texting, updating apps, browsing, playing live streaming music over both Mobile data as well as WiFi, and it would switch modes automatically from mobile to WiFi when I got in range of my usual normal home WAN.
I've been doing a lot of experimenting with the unit and I've been really impressed with the extreme battery life as well as the other performance and utilities that can be used and function so well on this unit.
I have to say that my Google Nexus 7 (2013) (32GB) unit is getting a little jealous from the lack of attention that it has received lately.
Over all, I really love the Note 3 and with this 10,000 mAH extended battery I couldn't be happier.
Have a really great day.:D

Okay. Charged for twelve hours (with two instances of the plug being disconnected for a few seconds accidentally). I took this phone off the charger at 4:15 am or so. It's 6:35 am and I am at 94%. I've been streaming music on Beats Music, posting on Facebook and using Tapatalk. The screen has been on I'd say 50% of the time in this time frame. Not bad. Not bad at all!

It's not exactly a fix, but try bluetooth earphones. I got some a while back (not because of this), and I really like them.
My hearing is normal, and I can't notice any difference between the bluetooth and the wired earphones.

That's an idea. Or possibly getting a different cord with a straight plug.

8:08 am, 89%. I'm noticing a bit of a faster drain when streaming music on 4G lte and surfing the net at the same time. Still not bad.

I got my ZL battery in the first batch, and while I love the extended battery it does not last as long as it first did anymore. I'm a hardcore user and it does last me through the day but by the time I get home, i'm down to 20%. Still better then any other battery I have found though. I Just wish they had the TPU case out for it.

The ZL 10K comes with a 'Rugged Case' which is really nice. The battery will not work with any other case than what is provided by ZL unless you do some pretty extensive modifications with a Dremel tool.
The ZL Rugged case is a real work horse. Extremely sturdy and protective of your device.
It comes with a Clear protective screen, which I removed because of the 'Mime Ghost Glass' screen protector I've installed but the remainder is really tough and very comparable to the Otterbox case internals.
What is nice is they include an inner shell back lined with 'Foam' that can be used with the stock battery if needed and you actually run the ZL all the way down.

I finally got my battery a few days ago. After 4 days of moderate to sometimes heavy use, I'm at 50%. Wow...this thing is cool and I don't mind the size. I got the 10000 mAh battery.

The only draw back is that my GF wanted one with a kickstand and belt clip setup (to come with the ZeroLemon battery) like I got. She has a Note 2 and I have the Note 3.

Nice find!

I'm on my first charge. Been running 1d 7h 29m 59s and just down to 9% now. Gotta say all the warnings about the battery needing to be recharged are kind of annoying. I hope this thing adjust to the new battery soon.

My first charge took a long time too. However, you need to follow the instructions about the full charges/discharges before recharging for about the first 5 or 6 times. I went 5 days after my first full charge with moderate to heavy use. It took forever to go from 1% down to the phone actually shutting down.

Wow! Second charge took 8 hours. Good thing I wont need to charge as often.

Edit: Just realized it isn't even done yet. Battery Doctor thinks its 100% but the phone indicates its still charging.
The instructions also warn about the use of the power chargers. It should be a "rapid charger". Mine charges fast and it still lasts a while, but not as long as the initial charge. I have a few more charges to go through before I'd consider the "conditioning" complete but overall, I am VERY happy with the battery and case. Best of luck to you.
