Help Tv out through 3.5mm jack!

I tried this with an old cable I had from an ipod video. The tv is just blank. I went under settings>>sounds and display>>>tv out>>>orientation auto>>>format-ntsc-m. I am not sure if I am missing something or if this isn't functioning yet right out of the box.

I'm sure you need the actual wire not an ipod one

I don't think the Incredible does TV Out via the headset jack. Only the microUSB.

The cable is listed as an accessories for 3.5mm tv out in the launch package but post launch. I know in the video it shows micro tv out. I would prefer micro.

Not sure then. Perhaps the Apple cable is different than the HTC one.

The cable is not an OEM Apple cable but maybe the lines aren't matched up the prong for the htc. The top of the screen shows a headset icon for the cable being inserted but no sound or video goes to the tv. Also, I was trying to do a voice to text sms and this did not work when cable was plugged in, which I understand that the device must be picking up the cable for this and the icon showing up.

I believe the tv out cable is going to go through the micro-usb (HTC has a cable which does that)

Don't go by a generic photo from a leaked accessory roadmap. It was most likely a piece of art that the art department had around.

Go by the video of it that you can find on youtube of it actually in action.

try switching the yellow with the red and see if that works... apple changed these to make people buy their brand of cables

ok. I received the mini usb tv out cable in the mail yesterday and now I will order a mini to micro usb adapter, but in the mean time will take mini usb tv out cable to work and see if the guy with the Eris can hook it up to a tv in the back of the store. The Eris might not have tv out function.

What's the latest on this? I am supposing it did not work, since you never posted an update.

Still no news on the TV Out cable we want but I just bought a Samsung BlueRay player that has a USB port and I was able to plug my Incredible into it and play videos, music, and pictures off my phone on my HDTV! Of course, I still want the TV Out cable, since most places I go won't have a USB port, but this is pretty cool, all the same.

HTCPedia.com has them in stock, but I just ordered it from Verizon phone support (VZW6300TVOUT) - paid only 16.38 after my employer discount, but Verizon's full price is only 19.99. I called 4 different stores in Phx first, but they had none in stock.
