Yeah so i'm sitting here browsing the forums and i hear a truck in the dirveway. The front says fedex, so my heart starts pounding and i jump up to grab the door. Well the driver comes to the door with a huge box and says becareful its heavy. So i am like wow this phone is alot bigger than i thought it was going to be. Heh.
Turns out it was the dog food my wife orders online. So i'm standing there with a box of dog food and he drives away. I look at the box and it says Fedex Home Delivery (basically fedex ground). And my heart beat goes back to normal. Well needless to say i'm back here browsing the forums, and waiting for my little box to arrive.
Oh well back to jumping anytime i hear a noise in the driveway
I did get a nice little boost of adrenaline though, it definately wakes you up, better than coffee anyday!
I'm sure the guy was alittle shocked to be greeted by a guy in shorts and a cubs t-shirt with his hair messed up and eyes half open grinning from ear to ear, but hey. Then i stand there with a box of dog food looking dejected while he drives away. Good times.
Update (11:59am): Ok my bad Fedex Ground and Fedex Home Delivery are 2 seperate trucks. I know because Fedex Ground just dropped off another package for my wife. This time the box was about the same size as the one i am expecting. Of course it was a repeat of the same situation described above, but this time when i seen her name on the box it took less time for my heartbeat to get back to normal.
Ok the 3rd times the charm, its gotta be. I don't know how many more Fedex Trucks are in this area, but seemingly they've all got my house on their route before the Fedex Express truck!
Addional News & Info: Since waking up this morning the wind has been getting stronger and stronger and is sounding like a truck pulling into the driveway about every 2 minutes. I just checked weatherbug on my ipod touch and it says we are under a wind advisory with gusts upto 50 mph. My luck the truck will tip over 1/2 mile from my house and land on my phone. I hope the driver will be ok, i just hate to break it to him its my luck that caused all this, heh.
Update 3:50pm: Well the fedex truck showed up about an hour ago, i would have posted an update earlier but i have been playing with my new toy
Anyhow this phone is everything i hoped it would be, i am so glad to finally have this puppy in my hands now. I'm listening to the cubs game as i type this, they are down by alot so i'm not too hopeful for a win today. Ahh well a day in the life of a cubs fan
Conclusion: My journey has finally ended. The screen protector has been applied, the clear case is on, and my 1750 seidio droid eris battery is fully charged and installed. My 16gb memory stick is in the slot and life couldn't be better!
