This is how I got my $30 SMART30 discount after I activated Incredible yesterday.

Most of CSRs are not familiar with SMART30 code...
Mention them you received via e-mail but it was too late since you ordered phone pre-ordered already and there was no way to cancel it.
Gently talk to CSR to credit $30 to your current month bill since your credit/debit card has been charged...

I ended up paying $69.99 for the DI with NE2 $100 + Online discount $100 + SMART30 $30 discount... ;)

I talked to the sales representative yesterday. She told me that the code only valid after June 1st.
I didn't give her a hard time after that.

That's weird...
I mentioned them I recevied around the 26th and valid through May 3rd or 4th...
They looked up for about a minute or two... And said will honored it.

I did samething for my co-worker again and got credit back...

Call them back, talk to a different CSR :)

I called today before my phone was delivered. I just mentioned that the code was SMART30 and I found it on a forum and that others were using it. He put me on hold for a few minutes, and then said that since I ordered it within the promotion period, he would credit my account for the $30. So, I was able to get it for $69.99 as well.

I ordered Incredible with a new service this morning and the CSR says this is not a corporate discount and she couldn't apply (but we'll give you an SD card blah blah). This is after I emailed her a screenshot of the discount getting applied correctly on Verizon website and she talked to her supervisor. WTH? She was nice and stuff so I didn't insist....yet....what do I need to do to get the discount? Any suggestions? Is this a third party code or a Verizon one?

I just called and got the $30 Credit applied to my account. No wining or dining ;) Even though my phone is currently sitting on my doorstep.

I told her that i had received an email with the promo code "SMART30" that can be redeemed to receive $30 off for online purchases of smart phones. She had me spell out the code like 5 times (Clearly she hadnt heard of it) and she put me on hold to discuss with a supervisor.

She came back a minute later to tell me that the Supervisor said "since you tried to apply the code online and it didnt take, and even though you have already received the phone, we're going to go ahead and apply the $30 credit as a courtesy).

I feel like i just made $30 by making a 5 minute phone call.

To the person who posted before me.. I was told the expiration date was 5/2 (I dont have, nor have i ever had the actual promo email).

Just be kind with them and act all "poor me" and they're sure to apply the credit. If they dont, then call back and get a different CSR before they have a chance to notate your account.

I beleive it's suppose to apply ONLY to NEW customers only (who would've otherwised been hit with the $30 activation fee). But no need to mention that ;)

Especially if they havent even heard of the code yet. Can't hurt to try!

Worked for me!

I tried to get the credit last night and was told that they could not find the code in the system

Same thing happened to me the first time I called. Use the "Contact us" link in the myverizon site

codes only available by region apparently. the CSR i spoke to knew of the code, asked for my number and said it wasn't available. oh well

First person I talked to said the same thing. I don't think many CSR's know what they are talking about

I just used the contact us link on myverizon and they applied the credit to my account.

+1

I used the contact us link and the Verizon person knew exactly what I was talking about. She noted in my account that we talked and told me to call back after activating my phone. So after getting my phone this morning and activating, I called and they just credited my monthly bill for the $30.
