Looks good. If I now used an S2 I would want one!

As I like my note2 a lot my next phone will probably be a note 4 or 5 (unless the competition bring out a competitor for it. ) I can't see that manufacturers expect most people to upgrade every time a new model is released. Maybe every couple of years but surely not every 6 months!

Well this is bad for business... I dont like the back style nor like the 2gb ram... I was expecting 3gb of ram but I see a lot of people not getting it and well that means is going to be hard to sell......I need more people on this poll though and hear those opinion..thank you guys

At first, I thought: from the S4, why bother? But I always have a device configured and ready to go as a backup. Currently, that's my Note 2. I recently went back to my Note 2 for a couple of days and decided once and for all that the larger size will never suit me, for several reasons. I put my money where my mouth is by passing on the Note 3. So I now see the S5 as a bump up in my main phone and in my backup as well because my S4 would become the backup, and I'd donate the Note 2 to a good cause. I'd have taken this opportunity to try Sony, LG, or HTC, but removable battery is an absolute dealbreaker for me because I eat lots of battery doing constant 2-way sync of 16GB/25k files.

So once there's a ROM I like for the S5, I figure wtf because I do have the money available to throw away on a toy. In that case, I might as well buy it the day it comes out and use it as my backup until a nice ROM becomes available and I can do the full customization that I want. How's that for rationalization?

I currently have 2 LG phones, one eligible for a JUMP on T-Mobile next month.

This phone basically has all the boxes checked, adding waterproofing/resistance is a feature that doesn't scream WOW until the occasion rises.

Will I get this phone? Possibly, but, definitely not right away, as I'm not hurting for a decent phone.

My main attraction to the SAMSUNG line-up is the GEAR2.As a former NOTE3 & GEAR owner, I miss the watch a lot more than the phone.

One other item I haven't heard mention of is QI charging compatibility, whether built-in, or, through OEM aftermarket equipment (back cover). Anyone?

I'm really thinking about it, either that or the Note 3.

My USB port on the bottom of my phone is starting to act a bit funky where if I don't connect the cable just perfectly the data connection for my computer won't work. Truth be told, I wasn't very nice to the USB port so that may be something that contributed to the degradation of the port.

So, with that said... I could get my S4 replaced under my carrier's warranty but that would mean a $200 charge for the deductible and the fact that I'd be getting a refurbished device. I could get a new device under AT&T Next and keep the S4 as the backup device in case the shit hits the fan.

Here is a spec comparison for those who are interested or still on the fence about getting the S5 :

I usually jump on board w/ the newest Samsung device ( enter fan boy joke here :p ), however there is no reason at all to leave my Note 3 for the S5.

No S5 for you eh? :help: I'm pretty sure you should get your temp taken!

As a Note 3 owner it would make zero sense to jump on the S5 train. The Note 3 has 3GB of RAM, while the S5 has just 2GB. Sure the heart monitor thingy is cool & the focus on the camera is better, but that's about it. Going down in screen size & battery size was the mistake I made going from the Note 2 to the S4 & I won't make that mistake again.

Listen to me & all this "phone talk", I must be ill. Ok, off to the clinic to get my temp taken...guess while I'm there I'll have them look at this bump on my......:p

The finger print feature is good for me because well i can unlock my phone faster then putting a password in... A little disappointed on the S5 because well they thought having the heart rate feature will increase sells..

That heart rate feature is useless for me...i eat cheerios
