Does anyone else use WaveSecure?

Came across a nifty little app for the Hero called WaveSecure.

It lets you remotely access your phone and can be used to back up data, lock you phone, track its position and erase all the information on it ~ potentially quite handy as your Hero can store quite a lot of personal information.

It's still in beta, and as a result is completely free to download and use. It seems pretty cool and simple to use but I've never really heard anything about it before.

Does anyone else use it?

I use it! :D

It's simply a must have app and I really do love it! Every Android Should have this as It can wipe data , Secure your phone when lost & you can even personalise the message when you lock it. :)

Oh yeah and it even tells you the number of the Sim card that was put in their. Very innovative

I cant get it to recognize the phone number for verification.

You have to enter it as the international code.

In the UK the international code is +44 and then remove the first zero and put the rest of the number -

i.e. for the UK mobile number 07123 456 789, you'd enter -

+447123 456 789

I know there are various international codes in the US, so not sure which on you'd need.

Yes - but for some reason you have to omit the + when putting it into the website

Ok that is the one that is not working. DARN

Im doing this through the Phone APP. I get the part where you input your number. Then it is verify number and waiting for SMS. It says the number can not be verified. Please try again... Then I get an error message. The application Messages (process.com.android.mms) has stopped unexpeectedly. Then I have to force close

It shows a test alert across the top of the screen, but when I got to retrieve it it is gone!!!!

This is a usability flaw in WaveSecure - we realize that now and are on our way to fixing it =)

To address other concerns:

1. Location not working properly: This has a few kinks and we're working on it continuously to improve it. If you encounter any specific issues, please let us know
2. WaveSecure for Android is free. If we do make it paid in the future, we will not start to charge anyone who has already downloaded it while it was free
3. @autorail1: If you send a normal SMS to +13021234567, does it reach your phone? Also, if you are using a CDMA network (such as Sprint), we're not sure if it will work because we have NOT tested on CDMA.

EDIT: We're currently looking for people to help us test on CDMA. If you are on Sprint or any other CDMA network, please drop us a line at android -at- tencube dot com

WaveSecure for Android is in Beta currently, we'd really appreciate any feedback you have. Head over to Customer Feedback & Ideas for WaveSecure for new feature suggestions/bug reports.

Sent an email about interest in testing on the CDMA (Sprint Network)
